Q: Can this projector play hulu and next flix from iphone?
A: Netflix, hulu and most other have a licensing that will not do screen mirroring from your phone. We found it easiest to just use a firestick. Worked like a dream, there is a little set up on firestick involved unless you use one that is already to go from another tv. Just an fyi if you have a movie night planned, you would want to walk thru that prior to movie time.
Q: What is the throw ratio for this projector?

Q: Can you hook up a DVD player ?
A: Yes, the projector has a standard HDMI input option
Q: Sound, is the sound quality good? Or will a sound bar be needed?
A: Sound from most projectors is so-so because they come from the projector. I got a Visio a sound bar and so not only can I hear booming sound from the front but also from the right and left speakers. It just makes the movie experience so much more enjoyable.
Q: Can you use in an outdoor environment?
A: Yes, I have played movies outside on my patio, but of course you have to wait til it gets dark ;)
