Various Artists - L'etoile de la Musique Creole - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Alexandre Stellio was a clarinetist and composer from Martinique, and he inherited the traditions of Creole carnival. He became an emblematic musician, and laid the foundations for the biguine style that originated on his island in the French Caribbean. This 3-album set is a perfectly curated overview of his recordings. The also includes testimonials from Mr. Gaston Monnerville, former president of the Senate and Mrs. Adela Stellio, Alexandre's widow.
