About This Item
The fantastic trilogy InchPoem of a CellInch works with the Jewish-Christian-Islamic culture. InchPoem of a CellInch puts the finger on the pulse of our time. It is a piece about the cruelty and sensuality of life, a free interpretation of excerpts from InchThe Song of SongsInch (Vol.1), InchThe flowing Light of the GodheadInch (Vol. 2) by Mechthild from Magdeburg and InchDivine LoveInch (Vol. 3) after InchUnity with the DivineInch by Rabi'a of Basra. All three poems are based on the unifying theme that brings Judaism, Christianity and Islam together and bridges all their differences love, ecstasy and, ultimately, the unification with the divine love. Vol. 2 InchThe flowing Light of the GodheadInch is a contemporary musical interpretation of the wonderful sensitive epic written by Mechthild of Magdeburg, a German nun from the 13th century. This album is a masterpiece by Exaudi Vocal Ensemble and Schlagquartett Köln (percussion ensemble Cologne). The Jewish composer and accordion player Alan Berne works together with the vocalist Fanny Winter who is interpreting the erotic poems of a woman who is deeply in love with the divine power.
