Vater Percussion introduces the Classics Series 5A nylon tip drumsticks, designed as a faithful reproduction of the brand's earliest physical stick profiles. Crafted from select, resilient hickory wood, these sticks feature a slightly reduced 0.565-inch diameter and a standard 16-inch length to offer a fast, balanced grip suitable for various musical styles. The medium-tapered shaft distributes weight evenly to provide a natural physical rebound, while the acorn-shaped nylon tips deliver a bright, highly articulate tone on cymbals and drumheads. Cataloged under manufacturer part number VHC5AN, this pair of lathe-turned sticks is finished with the original Vater Classics center logo for a vintage aesthetic on stage and in the studio.
Recreates Vater’s earliest historical stick profiles, replicating the exact dimensions and physical specifications pioneered by the founders before the brand's global launch. This classic design provides drum players with a genuine retro playing feel, offering a natural, intuitive return to the early days of modern drumstick craftsmanship.
Crafted from choice, dense American hickory wood to absorb high-impact vibrations and shock during heavy play. Sourcing premium raw materials protects your hands from premature physical fatigue, while the high structural density extends stick life and easily withstands heavy rimshots.
Features a slightly reduced 5A grip profile that measures exactly 0.565 inches in diameter. This slim, lightweight design feels exceptional in the hand, offering a faster and more agile hold compared to standard heavier 5A sticks to accommodate fast fills and technical patterns.
Designed with a versatile 16.0-inch physical length to provide the ideal balance of reach and leverage across your entire drum kit. The symmetrical medium taper distributes weight evenly along the shaft of the stick, facilitating an effortless, predictable rebound off drumheads.
Equipped with round wood tips designed to maximize clarity upon contact. This specialized tip shape produces a clean, clear, and highly articulate sound from every snare drum, tom-tom, cymbal, and secondary percussion instrument you strike in the studio or live on stage.
