Vater Percussion presents the Classics Series 7A wood tip drumsticks, developed as a faithful reproduction of the brand's earliest physical stick profiles. Crafted from select, resilient hickory wood, these sticks feature a slim 0.540-inch diameter and a compact 15.5-inch length to offer a lightweight, agile grip that maximizes dynamic control. The balanced medium-tapered shaft distributes weight evenly along the stick to ensure a predictable physical rebound, while the pinpoint small acorn wood tips deliver excellent acoustic clarity and articulation on ride cymbals and hi-hats. Cataloged under manufacturer part number VHC7AW, this pair of lathe-turned sticks is finished with the original Vater Classics center logo for a vintage aesthetic on stage and in the studio.
Recreates Vater’s earliest historical stick profiles, replicating the exact dimensions and physical specifications pioneered by the founders before the brand's global launch. This classic design provides players with a genuine retro playing feel, offering a natural, intuitive return to the early days of modern drumstick craftsmanship.
Crafted from choice, dense American hickory wood to absorb high-impact vibrations and shock during performance. Sourcing select raw materials protects your hands from premature physical fatigue during long sessions, while the high structural density extends overall stick life and easily handles heavy rimshots.
Features a slim, highly agile 7A grip profile measuring exactly 0.540 inches in diameter. This lightweight design fits comfortably in the hand to offer maximum finger control for fast ghost notes and technical sticking, helping players maintain a highly responsive feel throughout intricate musical arrangements.
Designed with a shorter 15.5-inch physical length that reduces rotational inertia to allow rapid hand movements across the entire drum kit. The symmetrical medium taper distributes weight evenly along the shaft of the stick, facilitating an easy, highly predictable physical rebound off drumheads and cymbals.
Equipped with small wood acorn tips engineered to draw outstanding acoustic clarity and crisp articulation out of ride and hi-hat cymbals. This profile offers exceptional volume management, making it an ideal choice for quieter acoustic sets, highly detailed studio tracking, and dynamic stage performances.
