Vater Percussion offers the Wire Tap Drumstick Wire Brush, a hybrid tool combining a wire brush on one end and a standard 5A wood drumstick on the other. This design allows percussionists to switch between stick and brush techniques without changing implements. The brush side features an integrated hard tap surface positioned behind the wire fan, which is engineered to reduce wear on both the bristles and drumheads during performance. Crafted with a solid wood handle featuring a 5A diameter, these brushes provide a familiar weight and grip for players accustomed to traditional drumstick sizes. Each drumstick end is equipped with a teardrop-shaped wood tip to assist with cymbal articulation and drumhead response. Cataloged under manufacturer part number VWTD, this matched one-pair set is designed for consistent rebound and balance, providing a versatile option for studio tracking and live musical arrangements.
Features a wire brush on one side and a traditional 5A drumstick on the other, allowing drummers to toggle between distinct textures without swapping implements. This hybrid configuration provides a streamlined workflow, enabling rapid transitions from stick-based patterns to brush-based sweeps, helping percussionists maintain tempo and rhythmic continuity within any musical arrangement.
Outfitted with a reinforced, hard-tap zone directly behind the wire fan, specifically engineered to protect drumhead surfaces and extend the usable life of the brush bristles. By providing a dedicated contact point, this feature minimizes direct wire impact on skins, ensuring that both your drumheads and your implements maintain their structural integrity during extended, high-frequency studio or stage play.
Built to the industry-standard 5A profile, ensuring a familiar weight distribution and grip diameter for drummers who prefer a consistent feel across their existing stick collection. The solid wood handle construction provides the structural rigidity required for reliable, predictable rebound and sustained durability, offering a consistent playing experience that integrates with your current setup.
Outfitted with precisely shaped teardrop wood tips on the drumstick end, providing defined articulation and a consistent contact point on cymbal bells and acoustic drumheads. These tips are designed to deliver a clear, responsive sound profile, allowing for nuanced control and a fuller, resonant output that supports versatile playing styles across various genres, including jazz, fusion, and studio recording.
Provided as a carefully selected set to ensure that both the left and right implements possess symmetrical weight, length, and rebound response characteristics. This balance is critical for maintaining precise technique and rhythmic accuracy throughout a performance. Cataloged under manufacturer part number VWTD, this matched set ensures authentic material standards and consistent quality for every user.
