Delivery was quick and efficient. Set up was easy. Picture and sound are good for me. Some of the experts and people who may have more exacting demands do not give rave reviews on this TV. However, for the budget minded person who would like the expansive streaming possibilities and ability to use Google hub and also us Amazon Prime it is an excellent buy. I plan on going back to Air HDTV antenna and getting rid of the cable TV that I am paying for. I would prefer to pick and choose from the free streaming and also pick and choose the pay per view. This TV will work for me. Also, I purchased the Geek protection, which will give me 5 years of protection at a very reasonable cost which ends up being a little over $1.00 per month. I think both deserve a 5 star review.

Good quality picture. I'm no techno wizard. Just a good tv for a fair price. Sound quality is good. Wall mounting was easy.

I really enjoy the picture quality. I wished I could add more apps myself, nonetheless it was a great buy. The sound quality isn’t all that great but a sound bar would do the trick.

I love this tv. I purchased it for my bedroom and it is plenty big. You don’t need cable to enjoy media on the tv as it is so versatile. It comes preloaded with “WatchFree” and other apps. The only thing I don’t like is that the remote isn’t lighted.

This tv was an ok buy. Nothing outstanding about the television though. The 4k with HDR works as intended and the Dolby Vision compatibility is cool. I only purchased due to the price drop of the Xbox One X and needed a 4k tv. I usually go with Hisense but thought I'd give Vizio a shot...I just wish more companies intergrated Android like Hisense does to give me the ability to mod my tv as I see fit. Look it up if you're unaware of APK files and what that means to your television!

Great television! The only issue I had was with the sound default setting which was set for surround sound. This makes dialogue hard to hear when music is playing as people speak. Easily fixed by going into the menu/audio setting and switching the surround sound to stereo.

This tv is really excellent and I was able to connect it to my google assisted radio and WiFi really easily. The most impressive feature is the Apple air play. I love sending songs from Apple Music from my phone. I also like to Airplay movies and tv shows from my MacBook.

Be aware that there are different TVs within each series. Check the actual model number and specs on Visio’s website. The picture on this tv is not good. I have tried adjusting it every which way and it’s bad in every case. People have a weird two tone look on faces. see photo I bought another Visio TV and set them both up together. The top on is V555-G1. The bottom one is M558-G1. The M series has a different and better LED set up. It is a full array back lit screen. The V series has LEDs on the edge and projects to the screen. This is according to the Best Buy sales staff. In any case the V makes everything look a bit green. The M looks good. I’m keeping the M. The V is going back.

The TV last 18 months. Then, a row a backlights went out and now it has a dark are horizontally across the entire screen. Best Buy won't help us because it's larger than 42". The warranty was only for one year, and I can't find anyone to repair it.

We were happy for about 4 months. After 4 good months the TV started locking up. At times, while on, It would not turn off. Everything functional would freeze except the show you were watching. Nothing else works....No power buttons, no volume, no input, no switching from one function to another like Netflix to tv and vice versa. Only way to get it to work was to unplug it every time it happened. Then it developed a green vertical electric line. Super annoying and no warranty covers any of it. Sound quality not great either. Very disappointed in this TV. Not worth the money.

A live bug grew inside the LED and eventually died about in the center of the screen. Visio support said it wasn't a manufacturing defect, and not covered by waranty. I'm living with a dead bug embedded in the screen for now. I would not recommend a V-Series Visio television.

I purchased this tv back in 2019 and it’s now 2024. This tv has been going strong for 5 years and I’ve had zero issues. Best purchase ever and I’d definitely will purchase this brand again. I’ve also since purchased the Vizio sound bar and it’s great.

Let me preface this by saying that this review is within context of this being a low end budget tv. On paper, it's very enticing: for the price, you get a 4k UHD, HDR10-capable, built in Chromecast, low input lag 55" tv that in my case even has a full array panel (your mileage may vary as vizio seems to slap in whatever panel they have on hand even in the middle of a model run). But in actuality, these facts are let down by a horrible "vizio rolls their own" operating system with whatever apps they feel like giving you. You can't add more or do much customizing. The OS has insane lag, it's buggy, and is just not even close to good enough. I've rarely ever seen such severe lag in any device. The remote barely works--sometimes it takes 2 or 3 button presses to make a command, other times not, so you can never trust the remote--add the crazy OS lag and you've got about a 20% chance of the tv ever doing what you asked it to on the first try. The remote phone app is dopey in its own way, no solution there. The 2020 tv actually has full size analog RCA ins and audio output which is awesome and impossible to find on any tv newer than this. However, the Ethernet adapter on this is max 100mbps and won't even get that much in actuality; there is no gigabit ethernet, so while it's just barely adequate for streaming Netflix/prime, you'll have real trouble, say, streaming HD content via Chromecast from your LAN media server. Assuming a good router siteline, you'll probably actually get faster network response from the 5ghz wifi than with your wired Ethernet which is pretty pathetic. The kicker is I bought this tv having had similar experiences with vizio before--shame on me and don't let yourself be enticed by the value this or any budget vizio presents on paper. They aren't worth it. I finally got so fed up with this tv that I demoted it from living room duty, got a much more expensive but much, much, much better hisense android tv and stuck this thing in my home gym ONLY after adding a $200 android box to it so I never have to use the vizio OS, Ethernet, or remote again. The kicker is the picture is noticeably better using the android box, proving that the panel is the only halfway decent part of this tv--but look what I had to spend in money, disappointment and hassle to get it there. Let this be a cautionary tale, my friends, and in my experience you can apply this to any model and year of low or mid-low end vizio, though even the highest end ones still use their lame OS.

At this point, anything is an upgrade to our 42 inch DLP 720p TV. This TV is easy to set up, smart and intuitive. The picture is beautiful at a reasonable price. If you can grab this for less than $400, you've purchased a good deal!
