I was a bit nervous about purchasing this tv without seeing it in stores, but I did not want to pass up the cyber monday deal. I researched about 10 or 15 different TV’s at this size and price point and all reviews identified this TV as the best bang for your buck. Best Buy did an awesome job with delivery and brought it right into my family room. Setup was pretty easy as long as you have 2 people. I do not recommend trying to install this tv alone as the bezel is to thin to be able to grab it on your own. My biggest complaint with setup was the heavily sticky film over the screen I felt that like if I didnt not peel it perfectly the screen would get damaged. When It was finally time to turn the tv I wasnt overly impressed with the picture quality. However it was on cable and I do not have a 4k box just a 1080p box. The picture wasnt bad just not as crisp as I expected. The ultimate test came when I turned my xbox series x on. I was absolutely blown away by the picture quality within the game. This tv actually changed how the game looked. When I streamed Netflix through the Xbox the image quality was amazing as well. The factory picture settings on the TV were pretty good much better out of the box them the samsung I have. I did do some minor tweeks because my wife thought it was to bright. The only reason I gave this TV 4 stars is because I felt that its its price point it should have 120hz refresh and it does not. My previous 55inch 1080p vizio which was a lower end model came with 120hz at the same price point a few years ago. It appears that Vizio has joined the ranks of samsung, LG and Sony and is no longer the bargain manufacture. All in all if you are in the market for a new TV I would absolutely give this tv a shot.

This Vizio HD 4K television is amazing. The picture is fantastic. It has HDR 10 and Dolby Atmos. The darks are very dark. I have no complaints about this 4K TV. I had an LG 4K TV two years ago and I was very disappointed in the picture quality. I think it may have been defective, but the 70 inch Vizio is fantastic!

Ok budget TV, first time that I went with Vizio over Samsung or LG. Price was good for the screen size. It has hdmi 2.1, but doesn't support 4k 120hz still capped at 60hz so not ideal for PS5 gaming. Gaming on the Nintendo Switch looks nice for sure at 1080p.

Started out as a great TV for the first 6 months, the one day the TV glithed while switching between apps and the screen went dark but the sound remained. I used a flashlight to see the screen was still working but not illuminated. The backlight had failed. Vizio covered it under warranty and replaced the entire TV. I wish I had got an extended warranded warranty now....

This is a fairly large TV with all of the feature you would want listed on it's spec sheet. However, in actual practice, this TV fails to deliver on many of the promises. First of, this is a large set at 70". I was able to completely set it up myself, but the aid of a second person would have made things MUCH easier. It's not overly heavy, but awkward in size. I love the stand. It is capable of adjusting in height to accommodate a soundbar very nicely. It can also be lowered down from where I set mine for a more slick and minima look. It is made of rubber to support reverberation from the sound of the soundbar. There are plenty of ports, the HDMI 1 port being eARC for audio passthrough. I had issue with eARC failing when I initially set up the TV which made me choose to use an optical cable. I eventually "restarted" the TV and eARC has been perfect since. The overall picture quality is decent, I adjusted brightness, white balance, etc... calibrating the display to my likeness. Once done, I found the color to be fairly accurate, though not 100%, but extremely satisfying and acceptable. I chose to leave the local dimming feature on and set to "high". Despite only having 30 zones, I found the black levels to be pretty good, yet there is visible halo effect around white text on black background. Overall, I also felt this to be acceptable, but certainly falls into the "average" category here, where most other units, even in this category, offer many, many more zones for a more complete and universal black. The TV really sines with 4k content, but produces a pretty good 1080p image as well and the image remains fairly crisp and clear. Where this TV falls apart are two very important aspects. The first is the viewing angle. This TV is horrendous at viewing angle, or should I say, lack there of. Unless viewing dead on, any angle, even slight, absolutely destroys the picture quality. It is impossible to view this with anything remotely considered a 'good" picture from any angle at all. The second major failure is HDR. This TV with its terrible 30 local dimming zones really hurts the display I this area. Detailed parts of the picture fail to properly "pop" and the HDR effect is more or less non existent on this set. Which is a shame given the support for both Dolby Vision and HDR10. I almost feel like this setting is the same turned on or off. The brigntness of this TV is not high enough to support the way HDR is intended to operate. Consider HDR and any viewing angle spec strikes out and as they won't matter here. Gaming is also nice on this set. This TV has extremely low input lag and the VRR features via AMD free sync is very well executed. Games respond quick and feel extremely realistic on this set. Despite the poor HDR, this is a perfect TV for gamers looking for size on a budget. Finally the smart interface on this TV is ok. It gets the job done, fairly easy to navigate and has all the apps most people will want. You can "cast" to it or AirPlay, both extremely welcomed and valuable feature. Apple TV+ app is also extremely welcomed. The issue is performance, the operation is laggy and often annoying. I chose to use alternative streaming boxes externally connected to mine to solve this problem as the built in interface was unacceptable to me. Easy to solve, bu worth noting none the less. I also consider the internal speakers to be garbage. They get the job done, but sound terrible, lack range and fidelity, and unless you could care less about sound, should be disabled and alternatives be used. All in all, this is a decent budget TV if you care about size and decent SDR picture quality. If you care about HDR, or viewing angles, look elsewhere.

Excellent tv. Replaced a 65 in v series. Picture is very clear. Color needs some fine tuning esp when watching football. The feet are low and my Polk soundbar blocked bottom of the screen.

Excellent tv! After getting a defective panel the first time, i easily exchanged it for another and have been plenty happy with it. Despite not having 120hz support, all the other gaming features are great for my series x and ps5. Id rather game at 4k60 then 1080p30 anyways.

I am really disappointed in this TV. I always thought vizio was a good brand but this is the second vizio product that has failed after less than a year. We started noticing red lines on left upper corner of TV a few months ago. At first I thought it was just the vizio home screen because it was really visable on that screen but then we noticed it on all shows. Vizio did replace the TV but instead of replacing with another M7 they replaced with M6 which was over $100 less that what i paid for the M7. Before purchasing the M7 i spent hours researching the two but decided to pay the extra money to get the other features on M7, guess i shouldnt have wasted my time or money. At this point I don’t think I will ever purchase Vizio again since my soundbar also went out.

Owned this TV (70” model) for 8 months and am very happy with the picture quality; very crisp, bright colors and deep blacks. Picture quality is 5 stars. Overall rating of 4 stars is because of the inability for the TV to not be network connected. Bought the TV to replace an older (dumb) TV so did not need nor want to use the smart functions (streaming etc.) because I wanted to continue to use my Fire cube for that. Finally got things (mostly) working right with one exception. We use the fire cube to switch channels on our cable box. But… the TV switches inputs (to the fire cube) every time we try to switch cable channels. Minor annoyance but still a step backwards from our previous “dumb” TV.

Incredibly easy to set up- plug and play- hardest part was remembering app logins! The tv powered right up and was ready to watch! Connected well to WiFi, etc and has a clear picture with great sound- no sound bar needed

The picture is terrific which the full array backlighting helps with. It does take a few seconds for the picture to show up on the screen. The main problem seems to be the connection to the internet which sometimes, but not always, says you have no internet connection. Going into settings and starting to put in the wifi password the picture comes in like you had no problem in the first place. This is the only reason I gave it a 4 star rating. I have the sound hooked up to a sound bar so I haven't really checked the sound from the TV itself.

Great tv, very bright, vivid and solid hdr performance. Super dark scenes aren’t perfect, but probably as good as you can get without it being an OLED panel. Vizio remains my favorite “budget” brand as they offer the best value for what you get without cutting corners on the panel type.
