The Visio SmartCast 5.1 sound bar makes listening to movies, shows and music much more enjoyable. Dialogue is clearer. The bass adds richness to the sound. It was easy to set up and arrived quickly and safely packaged. The subwoofer fits nicely under the couch and the speakers are compact. Very satisfied with purchase.

This complements our 70” Vizio 70” home theater tv screen in our den, excellent sound but sometimes we have to re-link it to the tv.

Using this with my Visio TV has completely changed our viewing experience. The subwoofer is wireless and the rear speakers connect to it. It provides an awesome bass experience that you can feel. If you haven't experienced surround sound, you are missing out on what movies and TV shows are created to do. I would highly recommend this product. You won't be sorry!

Love the device, 2nd one we purchased in two years. We moved the first one to the living room. Love having surround sound and the enjoyment of clear audio! Very easy to install, wouldn't go without one moving forwards.

Can't help but fall for this sleek and stylish lil smacker! Not only is the system powerful it's also a must have for people that don't need all of the clutter because the base fits perfectly under your couch! Sure it was a little pricey but I understand it's because of all the bells and whistle this little guy has including Google Cast!

THIS THING FREAKING ROCKS. Only reason 4 and not 5 stars and my only complaint is it's doesn't stay sync with the Vizio TV all the time. I don't know what its remote is even for because when sync the tv remote controls the volume. And I'm sure if i called Vizio they could help me but it works most of the time and other than that THIS THING IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The sound quality and the BASS ARE AWESOME, ESPECIALLY FOR THE SIZE. The bar sits under my 48 in vizio tv which sits on its factory stands and the sub-woofer being vertical is between the couch and wall so out of site and blows people away. I got an "open box special" when they were about $500 and paid $250. I see they are listed at $429 but and sale for $250 right now. Its a solid stereo and EASILY WORTH $500 BUT $250 ITS A STEAL!!! If you have been thinking about surround.... JUMP ON THIS DEAL BEFORE IT IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!

I should first say that I replaced the two rear speakers not because the supplied speakers were any way inferior, but rather I wanted speakers that would mount into my ceiling. With that being said, the speaker system pack a punch. The soundbar sounds amazing and the deep rumble from the base on intense scenes leaves me feeling like I'm at an IMAX theater. The setup was easy, although I recommend using an HDMI cable over the optical sound cable provided. I highly recommend this budget friendly system and feel that it can easily hold its own against name brands such as Bose

After researching different sound bar systems on the internet, I finially came upon an Vizio 5.1 sound bar system which I got on sale at Bestbuy and I got to say that for me this is the best one for a reasonable price. Vary easy to setup and control, great feature and sound qualiy.

I bought this as a Christmas gift that my husband decided to open early.. to be honest, the set up process was a bit confusing at first but once I found the YouTube how to for it the instructions made a lot more sense (definitely operator error).. so basically it comes with different types of cables for different ways to hookup the speakers to fit your tv/gaming needs... once we got everything hooked up, the sound was SO LOUD and so crisp.. we barely turned the volume on and the sound filled up the entire apartment.. but that’s not the best part.. the subwoofer has soo much base to the point we had a noise complaint and can not use it until the lease is up.. like when we laid it under the couch with a towel underneath it the entire floor was still trimbling.. we are so excited to move into our new house and see what this system is really made of.. (ps. We will be buying more because if you didn’t know you can sync multiple sets together and stream the sound through out the house..)

Picked this up to downsize a larger 5.1 setup. While the soundbar can’t compare with separating the left and right channels like my floor speakers could, I love how loud it gets for such a compact footprint. It definitely shines for tv/movies more so than music. When it comes to the music, it’s fine most of the time but when songs have a lot of reverb there’s almost a delayed echo that comes from the rear speakers. My guess is it is trying to simulate surround sound from a 2 channel source but it is definitely distracting. The SmartCast app allows for switching the audio setting but if “surround” is turned off the back speakers don’t put out sound. I haven’t experienced any of the issues others have with the sub needing to be re-paired with the main unit but I have had a few instances where streaming from a phone would be choppy, cutting in and out randomly. Once, my phone lost the connection while in between songs and then was not able to find it until I set up the speaker from scratch. These occurrences have been infrequent so I won’t knock the system too much. Technology does just glitch sometimes. Overall I’m pleased with my purchase and would consider buying again if my unit was lost or destroyed.

It took a good bit to get this set up. Thanks to Samsung (my TV manufacturer) because they were able to walk me through the process. I haven't had the sub woofer disconnect issues that I have read about in other reviews. My soundbar is about 12 feet away from the sub-woofer which is mounted vertically behind a sofa. I've not had any problems once it was up and running, and the sound quality is very good..

Sound is amazing. Easy to set up. When switching between Bluetooth and Hdmi-Arc it gets annoying because it doesn't recognize what you're trying to do right away so you have to keep scrolling to Bluetooth. Also, remote doesn't light up when using it so you can't see what source you're flipping to without having light.

Bought this for our 50" P-Series TV and have been extremely happy with its performance. Connected with ARC and went through the Google Cast setup using the Vizio app. Super easy to do and now I can control all soundbar settings using my iPhone. I made some slight adjustments to bass and treble to fit my room, then went on to cast music from my Google Play account. Much better experience then using my old Bluetooth speaker. Better quality and no interruptions due to phones calls, texts, etc. Watching movies is completely awesome with the sub being under the couch. Kudos to Vizio for making another great product!

Was happy with the Polk I previously purchased, but wife wanted more of an a "surround" sound. This system is a good value is well worth it.

If you play video games or watch movies you have to get this sound bar. I set it up in10 minutes. No problem at all. The sound is unreal.

Given the price, I'm satisfied with the looks and sound quality. However, for the first week or so, I was miffed that the rear speakers and woofer would turn off on their own, even though the main sound bar (under the TV) was still on and working. I had to try multiple combinations of turning the woofer power button on/off and/or trying to re-sync the rear items with the main sound bar. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. Come to find out--after the technician from Best Buy came over--that it was reacting to the cable modem signal. The tech changed the channel on the cable modem and my system worked...for a week. Now it's back to shutting itself off. I'll be returning this Vizio system for something else next week!

It was easy to setup. My wife likes that there are no exposed wires, I was able to place the sub woofer by the couch and run the wires under the couch to the very small rear speakers. The sub woofer is awesome. The rear speakers do not put out enough sound, I wish there were a way to adjust the output.

Sound is full and clear. Easy BT pairing with iPhone and iPad. Set up was not as easy for me as some have said. Took a while to get my LG to send sound through the Vizio. I still have to power up the Vizio separate from the tv, so that's got to be figured out. But for the price, very nice!

My opinion on this sound system is positive, if you are on a budget and trying to find a decent soundbar Vizio will be a good choice. The sound quality is pretty good and it has really good bass. It bass and the soundbar looks pretty stylish so it display nice in the living room. The only thing that I dislike about this sound bar is the wireless bass, it will lose it connection every once in a while and you have to re-calibrate it back with all the speakers. Other than that is a decent sound bar.

im using iphonex with google music installed. vizio soundbar stops after one song played, but the other speakers linked thru cast continues to play. description of the issue as below; 1. playing music through google music casted to multi-room speakers (i use 2- jbl link speakers), after one song being played, vizio stops playing the music, but the other two speakers still plays. 2. the only thing to make vizio play again (soundbar is still ON), is to restard and reconnect cast (disconnect and reconnect cast). then again, after one song being played, #1 recurs. 3. the weird thing is, you can adjust volume through smart cast app using the soundbar. and if you are actually adjusting the volume through google music, you will see the soundbar's light indicator for volume responds- but not playing music at all- it only adjust the volume of the other two speakers. interestingly, this issue is only for google music. there are no issues when playing spotify and casting to multi-room speakers. nevertheless, it's a great sounding machine and i love it for my movies. i hope google and vizio will figure something out on how to fix this issue. or probably i need to change phone LOL.
