  The hygrometer is extremely inaccurate and the fan is inconsistent. I have to set the humidity to 60% (the maximum) and the fan to 10 (the maximum) for the unit to get an 8'x9' room to 39-42% humidity. The tank has to be refilled every few hours and is very annoying to fill. Spend the extra $20 and get something form AirCare.

  Did nt wrk out of the box. We tried different outlets and the panel lit up so we tried dfferent humidity settings. Still did not work. Called customer service first thing Monday morning. They were closd due to unforeseen circumstances. My husband thought this humidifier was cheaply made and does not want to try another one.

  I have a Vornado fan that's great and has lasted me many years, but this humidifier is way too weak, and does not adequately humidify the square footage it's supposed to.
