The Warm Audio Stereo Jude Console Microphone Preamp brings the character of classic British recording consoles to modern studio sessions. Developed in collaboration with Sound Techniques, this two-channel preamp recreates the original A-Range console circuit with dual-discrete 3035 Class-A amplification and custom CineMag USA transformers. Two independent channels support stereo recording with a matched microphone pair or simultaneous tracking of separate sources, including vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, and other instruments. Each channel features a nine-position Z-Match control that adjusts the interaction between the microphone and preamp, offering options for shaping gain, transient response, and tonal balance. Independent stepped gain controls help set input levels, while dedicated VU meters provide a visual reference for monitoring each channel's output. Connectivity includes microphone and line inputs, front instrument inputs for sources such as guitar, bass, keyboards, and synthesizers, and balanced XLR and TRS outputs for connection to compatible recording equipment. Per-channel phantom power, polarity, and line-mode switches provide added flexibility when working with different microphones and signal sources. Custom CineMag transformers, premium Wima and Nichicon audio-grade capacitors, carbon resistors, and hand-wired construction reflect the attention given to the analog signal path. An aluminum faceplate and steel chassis complete the studio-focused design. Whether recording stereo acoustic instruments, drum overheads, or vocals alongside an instrument, the Stereo Jude offers two independently adjustable preamp channels for building a console-inspired recording setup in a home, project, or professional studio.

Record a stereo microphone pair or capture two separate sources at the same time using independent analog signal paths. The two-channel design suits drum overheads, stereo acoustic instruments, and simultaneous vocal and instrument tracking, with individual controls for adjusting each source to suit the session.
Each channel features a nine-position Z-Match control that adjusts the interaction between the microphone and preamp. Explore different settings to shape gain, transient response, and tonal balance, whether matching a microphone to a vocal or refining the sound of an instrument during stereo recording.
Connect microphones and line-level sources through the microphone and line inputs, or plug guitars, basses, keyboards, and synthesizers into the front instrument inputs. Balanced XLR and TRS outputs connect to compatible studio equipment, while per-channel phantom power, polarity, and line-mode switches support different recording needs.
