A very fast and cost-effective SSD used to replace a WD SN740 that came stock in my 2023 Asus G-14. Used the Acronis software for cloning that only took about 5 minutes to duplicate a 540GB SSD to this 1TB SSD. Sweet! Now the reason of the 3-Star rating is due to after registering this new SSD on the WD Support Website, WD only provides a 3-year warrant and not the 5-year warranty that Best Buy advertises. Very odd because the Acronis application is good for 5-years and I believe that was supposed to match up with the SN850X warranty. I can only guess that WD reduced their warranty period from 5-years to 3-years and Best Buy has not updated their website Specifications reflecting the current reduced warranty period. Or there is a major issue with the WD support website with registering these SSD's.

Dear Buddy, The product does in fact have a 5-year warranty on it. That it registered as a 3-year warranty was a clerical error on our end. Based on the screenshot you provided, I was able to find your warranty registration and update it correctly for 5 years. if you log into the warranty portal, you will see the updated information. Please let me know if you need any assistance. <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/WDConnections.jpg" alt="WDConnections" title="WDConnections" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" />

The drive performs well, especially as a boot drive, but I’m already wishing I had more storage space.

I did have issues after 3 weeks of owning it failed to boot windows and had to switch out to other ssd. And to be honest i think the samsung 980 pro was faster on windows operation and this happened 1 day after the return window.

Got this on a sale, and honestly, its not terrible. It does what it needs to do and runs efficiently in my PC. Its just that there are better SSDs out there that, unless you reaallly need an SSD or are tight on cash, you may find better elsewhere.

Got card but no screw for it and wasn't one in the computer either supposed to have one but don't.

Hello, Please know that the screws to attach the drive with the motherboard usually comes with the motherboard's case or in a plastic pouch with the computer. Each Motherboard manufacturer uses their own specifications for the Standoff screw's pitch and TPI. -Need Help? I’m unable to give this item a fair review, as I purchased it as a gift. The stars and recommendations are purely because a selection is required to submit.
