Purchased this WD 480GB SSD while it was on sale for a project and it exceeded my expectations, I've probably purchased 2500 SSD's and for the money this one did not disappoint. Easy to use and built well for the cost. After using it, I would definitely purchase it again (I have). If you are using a conventional hard drive and are looking for a cureall to increase speed and performance on your equipment, swap out for one of these first - before memory or other upgrades. You'll be glad you did!

$20 for a 480 gig wd ssd? Why wouldn't you buy this? It is fast and wd blue drive last. I use these in cash registers that are on 24/7, they are reliable. I have no hesitation using these drives in cash registers at restraunts that depend on the registers at drive thruough. They are fast and reliable.

I replaced an old Seagate 500 Gb mechanical hard drive with this and brought back to life a seven year old first generations Intel I3 processor laptop. Originally the laptop came with windows 7 and later I updated to 8 then 8.1 and ultimate to 10. The laptop became really sluggish and freeze a lot. Lately I start having booting issues and after ran diagnostics the cause was the hard drive. I bought the WD easystore 480GB SSD from best buy and it is exactly the same size and port that the old hard drive. I installed a clean copy of windows 10 and is running fast and smoothly, better than new. I highly recommend to replace your old sata drives with this new solid state technology, it makes a hugh difference like day and night and the price was really reasonable.

We had an old laptop (at least 8 years) that I seldom needed for tasks that my iPad Pro couldn’t do. It ran horribly- even clicking the start menu had a 10 second delay. I put this drive in it and installed Windows (we had all our data backed up in OneDrive) and due performance upgrade was immense. The computer now boots in seconds, has snappy performance, and I feel like I renewed this computer for a fraction of the price of buying a new one. Since it is rarely used, this was perfect.

Works as intended consistent with speeds perfect for on the run large storage

Installed in an old Dell Latitude E5440 we were using for photo editing. The computer worked fine before but was slowing down. I decide that I'd had good luck with speeding up my other computers just by updating the hard drive to SSD so figured for the price I'd give it a shot. My original hard drive was 320 gigabyte so I opted to go a little larger but not to excess. I used Macrium Reflect free to clone the original drive and swapped them out. The machine booted very quickly and was finally able to realize its full potential. I then had to use EaseUS Partition Master 13.8 to be able to realize the full amount of space on the new hard drive. Typically it is better to do a fresh install on windows but I had done a fresh install on this laptop about 3 months earlier along with multiple photo editing programs and did not want to have to reload everything again. All in with cloning and adjusting the partition I had about 45 minutes into this swap, my version of windows was completely up to date with updates, had it not been I may have still opted to do a fresh install since some of the updates took hours to install and I imagine they would have gone faster with the SSD rather than the standard hard drive.

My Wife's 4+ year old laptop computer was very slow. Took it to the Geek Squad, they checked it out, then called saying it needed a new hard drive. They installed a solid state hard drive rather quickly & its working great now. Thank You for your expertise

This is a great ssd for a great price perfect to add storage to my pc

This is a decent SSD for a cheap price. The performance is not as good as the WD Blue or Samsung SSD, but for the price you can bring new life into an older, or even newer, pc or laptop. Installed this one into a 2yr old laptop that had a i5 processor but a traditional drive and it now boots 4 times faster. Way worth the money.

This is the perfect upgrade from a hard drive for someone on a budget. It's only got a 2-year warranty, compared with most other brands that come with 3- and 5-year warranties, but I've put dozens of these in customers' computers and haven't had any failures so far. The downside, besides the shorter warranty, is the read and write speeds. It's slower than more expensive SSDs, but it's not going to be noticeable in most cases. And it will certainly be faster than an old, spinning disk type drive.

I bought this SSD to speed up an old Dell Inspiron 3847. It got the job done, and did it very well. It’s a great product, has a decent capacity, and has a lower price than some other SSDs at the price range. I would definitely recommend it. -Reece

Computer is operating so much faster now! Geek squad technician who took my computer in, analyzed the problem quickly and recommended installing a new hard drive and finding one that happened to be on sale. Everything was done on schedule with all data transferred to the new drive.

the new ssd works great. the start up time for computer is very quick, much faster than old hard-drive that would take a minute or more for each function (start-up, mailbox, internet screen). lots of storage space (480 gb) for what i need.

Ive been using a hard drive on my pc and its been pretty slow these day so I’ve been looking for an ssd and this was a really great choice. I’ve been using it for awhile and my pc is like new. Its really fast in boot up times and in everyday use. I recommend to anyone.
