I love that our unit works at our mountain cabin. But what I don’t like is that the unit gets so hot that we have to unplug it because we’re fearful that it will start a fire. We googled this issue and learned that it seems to be a main concern for consumers but nothing was suggested about fixing it.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM FROM BEST BUY. The return time is insuffienct to determine if the item works properly. They are unwilling to give exceptions to the return time. It took more than 15-days to get this installed properly and try and find the signal to boost given our remote location. I wish I had purchased this from Amazon as their return policy is more realistic. The product is a good one I am sure but not if you are in a remote location.

Who knows if this works or not!! You need a professional to install it. I am not drilling holes in my house to install a cable the size of Direct or Dish network. It then says to find the nearest carrier cell phone tower. I don’t know where the nearest tower is!!!. To do all that and have it not work. No guarantees. So while I was still able to return it, I did. Unless Best Buy wants to install it for me. Never mind. At over $500 dollars never mind.

Not satisfied. It boosts the signal but compared to another Weboost model i got for less dollars its poor. Look for a unit with thicker cables, a bigger antenna and a better designed wider broadcast antenna in the house. With this model it doesn't cover the whole house, barely one room.

Hi there,
We are sorry for the poor experience with the weBoost! One thing to keep in mind is that the inside coverage the booster provides is based on the outside signal strength. If the signal is poor, then the booster might provide a decreased area of better signal. The external antenna location and the direction you aim it in is vital in getting the best results. Our Customer Support team is a great resource to provide steps for a successful installation. I'll leave our contact info below if you'd like to reach out.
Thank you,

This signal booster is supposed to boost the signal for almost our entire house. It fails miserably to do what is advertised. I followed their instructions to the letter, although they are rather misleading, the signal goes from 2 bars outside on the roof to 2 bars in one room next to the indoor antenna, three bars (sometimes) in a closer room and 1 bar to dropped calls in an area 2 rooms away. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is at least we have service inside our home.

It did boost our signal. We went from sometimes one bar to 3 bars of signal. However the only way it would work is if the phone was pretty much in front of the indoor antenna. Even then all we could do was send a text or sometimes make a call. Data was non existent.

Temper your expectations. If you live in an area with a few cell tower options and you get wildly varying cell signals, you may get a 1 bar improvement. Install is straightforward but tedious. Too much slop in the angular adjustment to keep the antenna level after insuring the mounting pole was vertical.

The website and packaging does not disclose or have any notes that it may not cover your frequency or Chanel you are trying to get signal. Unless they update their website and packaging I don’t recommend. Product works well just doesn’t cover the frequency.

This product is extremely difficult to fine tune. If you think it’s just hooking a couple wires together and plugging it in walk away now. I had too special order RG 11 cable and even ttt he rn the signal is very minimal. If you think it’s automatic a signal will appear your wrong. I had too install it 35 feet in the air on a pole and run the wire. This is not a beginner advises install. I have built hundreds of houses and this is harder then that. It’s a pain in the rear to get it to work period.

We bought this to boost our cell phone signals for different carriers. I contacted TotalTech since I pay for it to help with installation, well, I won't go into the many hours and people etc. I spent trying to get this done AND after all that time I was told they won't help me. It is installed but we are not seeing the "upgrade" in boost that we were expecting. I sure wish a tech would come out and see if it's all installed correctly. I can't say in good faith that I would recommend purchasing this product as their doesn't seem to be tech help and it isn't doing what we wanted.

This only worked in one room. Which was in a bedroom upstairs. We only have an 1800 sq foot home an this was suppose to do up to 5000 sq. foot home. Needless to say it didn't work. Some times it would just go out from green to red for no reason. Which means it will not work. We were very disappointed in this Weboost. We had high expectations for this. Which a lot of people said it really was nice. I have to go outside to get my cell phone to work. Buy with caution. If you have very little cell phone signal than this is not going to help much.

Not good value for the money. Exterior mounting bracket for the antennae should be made of stainless steel or material that won't rust. The antennae is typically mounted in a high location, not easily accessible to maintain or change out if it corrodes. Should provide R11 cable rather than R6 .

Package was never delivered. Credit from Best Buy delayed

We had two bars before installing it. It has got somewhat better as long as you are within about five foot of it.

Expensive and did nothing in my area to improve signal. Started with one bar and after installing I still have one bar. Followed ALL recommendations on location and installation process. Going to switch carriers after being with ATT since 2007.

Don’t really work where I live so I really don’t have a review

Kinda worked when it wanted too. Spent 4 days adjusting outdoor antenna and was unable to get it set right. If you live in a valley and the closest towers are uphill from you, this probably won’t work properly for you either.

"As advertised" is never to be fully trusted. It works great in the living room. The signal does not improve at all only 30 feet away. The promised coverage area does not even cover 1,500 sq. ft. (5,000 sq. ft. as advertised is non-existent).

Understand before you buy this that your signal outside needs to be good before it will cover 5,000 square feet. I didnt have a very good signal outside (about -99db) and it only increased my signal inside by 10db which helped but was hoping for more.
