A: I believe so. Mine is the same way. But when I pushed it closer to the wall the sound was louder. So it could be the placement of the TV. However I am looking into buying a soundbar as the TV is still in the softer side.

A: The tv is almost exactly 30 inches wide with the stands. It should fit with less than an inch on each side of the tv.
