The Lord of the Rings trilogy won seventeen Academy Awards. Weta Workshop was intrinsically involved in the design and physical effects manufacture for all three films. The Ring served as both a tool and an extension of the Dark Lord himself, a vessel of his power, and a conduit for his eternal will.
