what is the difference between WMC30516AS and WMC30516HZ? are both over-the-range microwave?
Answered by WhirlpoolTeamHi Mike, thank you for your time in asking this. These are both Countertop Microwaves, so they will not work over a range. They can be installed in a cabinet with an optional trim kit to give a built in look. They are the same model, the WMC30516HZ is the new name we are using and it does have an updated control panel with White display color instead of blue. The WMC30516AS will not be available soon. My Whirlpool Model WMC30516AS has died. I have it in a cabinet, and want to replace it with something that has identical dimensions. It appears that the newer model, WMC30516HZ will do that. The trim frame is numbered B45L-WJ. Will it fit?

What’s the difference between model WMC30516AW and model WMC30516HW? I know that the last letters in a model number represent the color, but both models say they are white.
