Loving it. We bought this to replace an old but high performing LG unit. I wasn't too sure about this brand but this was the only unit that checked all the boxes on our feature wish list at least 10k BTU, heating option, dual hoses. The first night we used it we were a little worried it was a dud because it didn't seem to be doing enough cooling given the room temp and the set desired temp. It did seem like it was going through some sort of self-regulated break in cycle or something. By the next day it was chillin' like a champ and hasn't stopped since. We are very happy with it. The dual hose set up is a little quieter and gets rid of the "negative pressure problem" that the single hose models have. We have the version with the heat option. One tip to others who get this feature is that the snowflake that indicates cooling mode also doubles as a "sun" when it lights up red to indicate it is in heating mode. So, when cycling through modes to get to the one you want, take care it is on the white snowflake when you want cooling and the red lit "sun" when you want the heat. We have been operating it in conditions of 40-70% humidity and haven't had any problems with condensate build up or leaking. I'd recommend giving it some time on it's first days in place before judging its performance. It should be running like a arctic wind by the second day. We set it up when the weather was sunny, about 84 degrees and moderate humidity (in case of major heat wave or very humid air it would take any machine more time to cool the house down because all the objects in the house store heat too). My only complaint is that the buttons on the machine have a significant time lag to respond to presses. But I got used to it and just adjust it patiently. Since that is the only drawback and it functions fine, I can overlook it. I was worried about the shipping speed of such a large appliance without use of a dedicated appliance hauler but the package came a few days early and in fine condition. *We bought white foam weather stripping to place on the vertical sides of the window insert. Weather stripping proved essential to push the insert away from the deep recess in vertical side of our window frame so the insert would fit tightly and not have gaps or wiggle. Without the weather stripping the insert would not have been snug because the hose cuff goes right to the edge. White duct tape also adds to the seal and stability without adding any ugliness. I'll try to update this review if anything changes.

The bad: Bought this one year ago last week and today it's decided to shut itself off every ten minutes. One year warranty. Entirely too expensive for what it offers. Air filter is tiny and oddly sized, replacements are $40+ per filter (before tax and shipping) and available only through one vendor. Has to be manually switched to fan mode to continue working as an air filter once the room has reached the target temperature. Heater is a joke performance wise and can fill the internal reservoir up in a few hours causing the entire thing to stop working (even fan mode) until it's wheeled somewhere and emptied. They do not sell pumps for it so expect to have to buy that elsewhere if you plan to use the heater and don't have a convenient floor drain. Remote seems to be a time traveler from the early 90s Top mounted buttons are easy for pets to step on. The good: Duel hose is the best option for a portable unit like this. Single hose designs pull air from inside, air that's just been cooled, and shoots it out the window. This means it takes longer and costs more to cool a room as well as creating negative air pressure that will pull more air inside from between the cracks in doors and windows to replace what's being exhausted. Single hose is a horrible marketing trend. When it's working it does a good job cooling the room. Their condensation removal system works so it doesn't require a pump for A/C use. At least in N. Cal.
