This is a great unit! Gets quiet when set in Auto mode.. That mode cycles the fan and ac when needed, plus automatically controls the fan to different speeds out of the three. It really pumps out the cold air and is well made. The timer on and off are a great touch too. Has sleep mode and also swing option to move air around. I replaced a 15 year old window ac, it was 12k BTU cooling, with this one. I was worried it wouldn't keep up. My apartment is 800 sq ft. But it has no problem keeping up. Also where I'm at the evaporating system works great. No worries of draining unit. Unless I use the dehumidifier option. Then I run the included hose into a 3 gallon jug. If you are looking for a great portable ac, look no further! The reviews and ratings say it all... Awesome unit!!

Box was in bad condition A/C Received damaged and had to return it.

My friend recommended this AC. Great brand and functionality. Best Buy beat Amazon’s price and it comes with a window kit! (His didn’t.). I had a question and the company is wonderful. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Pretty good AC, doesn't get my room (500sq ft studio) cold on very hot days - 100 degrees and it can get the room to the low 80's, 90 degree days can get the room to the mid to high 70's. Best out of all comparable AC's for the same amount of sq ft I have tried though. Easy to setup and blows cold.

I bought one last year smaller then this one and it did the trick. Liked the idea of not having a window ac and wanted to cool the whole house we bought this one a little bigger. Small one down stairs and the new one upstairs keeps the house nice and comfortable. Not an ice box but it serves the purpose. The heat coming from the exhaust is hot so thinking it needs a better insulator so ac not working against itself.

I purchased this portable unit to use in my garage. I insulated the garage door but wanted A/C while I work in there. Though it hasn't gotten very warm yet I have had a chance to test the AC function and so far I'm happy with it. In my case I'm venting out of a hole I cut in the garage so I had to reduce the 6 inch exhaust down to 4 inch for the hole. Overall I was very surprised at the air output and when the AC is turned it is nice and cold. The only downside is that the exhaust hose generates a lot of heat which I'm sure is reducing efficiency. I'll need to insulate the hose but otherwise I'm very happy with this unit.

Bought one first / made Best Buy do price match. It was amazing and better than any I have own before. 1100’ downstairs. Put it in center of house with s few fans through house. Amazing whole downstairs is cool. Other unit with fans hit 1/2 house and this got it all. Do ok s few weeks later I buy another one. Excited to see it fo it thing. I let it stand up right for about 6 hrs first. Then set it up. 20 minutes in it kicks off breaker. I tried start it after about 10 minutes and only fan works on it. 15 minutes later I disconnect it, next morning I try again, only fan works. I disconnect it to return to Bestbuy, while taking it down the stairs. The rear cap comes off on bottom. It leaks alohnof water on the next 3 steps, His is it! It dipposrd to be brand new and only run maybe a hour and it has so much water, now wonder did they and me s former open box? Told Best Buy and they did nothing but blame manufracture. Works well, energy efficient doesn’t make so much noise as others do. Seems like it is made with quality.

Bought unit during recent heat wave. Helped keep home cool although unit can be a little loud if you're in a smaller area but once moved some distance away, noise is not as noticeable. Hooked up vent to window easily with no tools. Unit is easily transportable due to the rolling wheels.

this is a solid AC unit that was bought to keep the master bedroom cool in case of a power outage. havent needed to use it yet but felt great in the test run.

Very happy with the ARC-148MS. Item shipped quickly, arrived on time, and was easy to set up. This unit comes with a powerful fan and good cooling capacity, so it keeps the bedroom comfortable on warm and humid nights. Portable a/c units are never as powerful or efficient as window units or central a/c, but this one is very effective and also reasonably quiet. I've used it for several nights and have not had to drain any excess condensation, so the self-evaporative system seems to be working well. Would recommend.

This air con is reasonably priced, but quite bulky and loud.

You would think because it’s small it won’t work, let me tell you I have living room, kitchen and hallway and a big apartment, I let it on with the oven on and it really cool down the apartment omg love it

Seems to be more powerful than my old one, even though it was the same 14000BTu
