Winegard - Boost XT Outdoor Digital TV Antenna Preamplifier - Black/White

We live in a valley, in between 350 foot hills. We could not pick up some the local stations, approx. 15 miles away. Now we can pick up all the local stations and get signals from up 90 miles away, with only a short 15 foot antennae. I spoke with someone I know, who knows and sells electronics. He recommended this one for its amplification and price. We have not been disappointed. -K

Needs to be close to antenna

The booster only filter's/amplifies the signal the antenna gathers. So, the booster has no directional need. Aiming the antenna is how you get the best signal strength. Hope this helps.
