I was forced to buy a security camera because I suspect a neighbor's visiting girlfriend was vandalizing my car by smearing my windows with trash, etc. The day I installed the Wyze camera and had it aimed at my car was the day her aggressive behavior immediately stopped and, eventually, I never saw her again. It's a sad world when you have to use a security camera, but necessary. And thankfully this Wyze Cam came to my rescue!
It work 2 weeks.. tomorrow im gonna return Its the second time something happens.. i was so slow moving to the sides .. and yesterday tried to point in different directions..and just stop .. the app shows "device offline " i try different things to make the cam work again..plug unplug etc.. i got the pan 3.. i works beautiful.. but this pan v4 its the second one ..it gives me too much problems

Check Connectivity:

Power Cycle:
Unplug the camera, wait about 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. It sounds like you’ve already tried this using your Wyze Plug, which is a great troubleshooting step.
App Update:
Please make sure your Wyze app is updated to the latest version.
Firmware Update:
If you’re able to access the camera, check whether the firmware is fully up to date.
Reset the Camera:
If the issue persists, performing a factory reset may help resolve any lingering problems.

This reasonably priced camera works very well. Great tracking, easy install, great picture. I’d recommend it and buy it again. HOWEVER - I shopped for a dash cam while there on a buying spree. Found the one I wanted, set up an appointment for Geek Squad installation, and then was shocked to find out that they now charge &179 to install that cash cam!!!!! I purchase the annual Geek Squad Total Protecrion Plan which entitled me to free installation. That was a terrible disappointment. Now I’ll not be renewing that Total Protection Plan. The benefits have been slowly eroding over the years while the cost has been going up. Best Buy you have let a long-time customer down with you policy change!!!!!!!

I recommend Wyze cameras because they offer excellent image quality at an affordable price. They are easy to install, allow for real-time monitoring via smartphone, and feature useful functions such as motion detection, night vision, and two-way audio. "I replaced most of the Lorex cameras with these Wyze Cam Pan V4, and the performance is impressive. No DVR Necessary. They integrate perfectly with the cloud service and offer excellent image quality. As long as you have a stable internet connection, they are incredibly reliable. I especially love the motion tracking; it accurately follows people and animals across the field of view without missing a beat."

I have gotten several of these for keeping an eye on my pets while I am out, they are easy to set up and use. The app does not require a subscription either, though you get some additional functionality if you sign up. I recommend getting an SD card with this so it can do continuous recording locally and without a subscription or cloud uploads that the app tries to impose.

I love this camera! Easy to install and these cameras are just the best. I've bought the cheaper cameras and they constantly bump offline. So far no issues. I live in a different household and use this camera to help monitor my elderly parent, the sound quality is excellent. If calls out for me in another room from the canera I can hear it very clearly.

Regarding the timelapse feature, we understand how important this is for many users. Previously, the Wyze Cam Pan v4 did not support timelapse. However, with the latest firmware update (version 4.70.0.3005 released on January 6, 2026), the timelapse feature has been added to the Wyze Cam Pan v4!
To use timelapse on your Wyze Cam Pan v4:
Make sure your camera is updated to firmware version 4.70.0.3005 or newer.
The update is being gradually released, so if you don’t see it yet, it should be available soon.
