Q: Does this lock automatically lock after shutting the door?
A: You can set it to lock automatically after 30 seconds or a minute, something like that. You can also easily change the setting if you don’t like it.
Q: Does it work wit Liftmaster gateway
A: No, this model does not come with a Yale Smart Module and does not work with any hubs or smart home systems, including LiftMaster. This is a touchscreen keypad lock that allows you to lock and unlock your home without the hassle of keys using the keypad.
Q: What must be the diameter of the door opening?
A: The bore hole on the face of your door must be 2 1/8" in diameter.
Q: Will this lock work with the August smart lock wi-fi module?
A: Yes! It's compatible with the Connected By August Module, which is sometimes called the Yale Access Module.
Q: Will this work with a door that previously had a mortise lock?
A: You will have to make some adjustments where the mortise lock was. This lock generally serves as a padlock. And does not come with a handle/doorknob

A: I synced my yale with my ring system and it allows me to lock and unlock remotely
Q: Can it be used outside front door? I live in Chicago which gets very cold in winter.
A: Yes! It is specifically designed for exterior doors. As long as the interior side of the lock is inside the home, the outside (with the keypad) can withstand very cold, or very hot temperatures. It's been tested to withstand -40 degrees F to 120 degrees F.
