This security key works great and has some nice extra features. My other keys are USB A, so it is nice to have this USB C key. It is small enough that I can leave it plugged into my laptop all of the time. If you need a small key, this is the one for you. It has metal tabs on both sides to activate it by touch. Some of my larger keys have a gold disc, which always seems to be on the worng side to access. Like most keys, it has a flashing light to tell you that it is waiting for your touch. Its small size is also an issue: if my laptop is lost or stolen, the key is in it already, which defeats the purpose of having a "what you have" key in the first place. Because it is small, it is easy to lose. It would be nice if it had a ring or hole to attach a string to – but that would make it bigger. Yubico has a great website with FAQs, explanations about how these keys work, and the differences between models. Their free email support is good. Yubico has a neat app "Yubico Authenticator." It "reads" lots of info from and adjustments to the key, like serial number and firmware version. It allows you to do a factory reset to erase your codes. One thing I miss is an app to track all my security keys. Yubico doesn't make one and I can't find any other sources. I'd like to list each key by type, serial number, what codes/sites are stored on it. The only advice I've heard is to enter that manually in a spreadsheet. It does help that the key’s serial number is stamped on the side of the key, which means I can identify which key it is by looking it up in my spreadsheet.

This is an excellent product for managing passwords and enabling multi-factor authentication across multiple websites. Installation and setup are straightforward, making it accessible even for less tech-savvy users. The fingerprint reader is compact and functions reliably on laptops. Its small form factor makes it ideal for leaving plugged into a laptop, offering both convenience and enhanced security without compromising portability. However, desktop users may encounter limitations unless front-facing USB-C ports are available. Overall, it significantly streamlines the MFA process while maintaining a strong security standard.

A little challenging to get started. Once you get the 1st couple of apps enrolled, easy from then on. A prominent link to setup instructions and a detailed video on enrolling an app like ebay or something most people have would be helpful. Once you get all of your apps that use 2 factor ID enrolled, it does save time getting codes and finding you phone to view them. I would recommend. Also it is tiny so get a spare.

The device works as intended. It is fairly easy to use. The only issue I have with it is that my laptop has one USB-C port. Do not purchase this product unless you have at least two USB-C ports. It works fine other than that.
