Bought this to record from behind a drumkit, auto gain comes in very handy for this. Only issue is the rainbow effect when recording in overhead light. Too bad Zoom didn't include the $10 lens hood...

Going from a GoPro Hero+ with a separate Zoom H2 audio recorder, I couldn't be happier. A lot of options to get just the right setup for video AND audio in one package. Pro tip - if you are concerned with battery life, get a portable USB battery pack and plug it in. Mine has been tested with a 2400 mAh (I think) pack and it ran perfect for over 5 hours straight (till it filled up the SD card). My only wish thus far is lower bitrate audio options to save space, and the fact it records to MOV files - so conversion is necessary to get to the more standard MP4. Small issues though, for a fantastic device!

This camera is very versatile. Be sure to use Lithium Batteries, Alkaline may last a single 1 hour performance, or use the external USB power.

I tested the mics out at a conference attended by almost 400 attendees. There were talks and lots of singing. I expected this device to do a more than adequate job. It did more than just adequate. I was blown away by the sound recordings. The video is wide angle 1080p and was better than expected for a stationary camera. This is not an action camera that you would use to record your boating down the rapids on the Colorado river. For what I need it is the best bang for the money. Well worth the price.

This is a small, compact video / audio recorder, made by artists for artists, though it's great for anyone. I like the way it feels and works but I'm having a bit of difficulties getting a clear video in club settings. The sound is very good and can be used without the video for recording. I can easily see that for a soloist, one only needs to place it in front of him or her and make a CD, it's that good of quality. I recently purchased a Canon but this out does it much more.

I'm excited to see how well it works. But it is very small and lightweight

I am still learning to use the various video settings for dark environments to get a clear focused recording. But it is coming along. I use lithium batteries and an external power adapter for long recordings. Alkaline batteries are not good with this product.

This is easily the most advanced piece of audio/visual equipment at it's price point. Audio quality is amazingly exceptional and the video capabilities are unparalleled. I give it 5 Stars for quality. The slight downside is that you will want (need, actually) to purchase the auxiliary package, which is not available here.

Whether your videoing a concert or just band practice, this video camera will do the job. Excellent product, would definitely recommend.

Sound quality was better than anticipated. Video quality excellent. Only draw-back, it took a very long time to upload videos.

The camera runs on 2AA batteries which is not optimal for todays standards. The quality rivals that of most standard webcams. If you want HD, you need the proper cables and adaptors to achieve HD quality.

The sound quality is great! I just wish the battery life was longer. I get about 2 hours per set of AA.

This is a microphone with a camera on it. Don't expect it to be a GoPro. Its not. Sound is way better.

The camera kept shutting off when trying to record.
