Q: Why is Best Buy selling this when the app hasn't been updated in over a year and a half?
A: Hi, Bobby. The WSP100 plug cannot be used with the Wemo app. It is only designed to be used only with Apple HomeKit. If you’re having issues with your Wemo app, please don’t hesitate to ring or hotline number so we can assist you properly. A: Hi, Raider. As much as we'd like to assist forward, but this is a product limitation as we built the Wemo WSP100 only for Apple HomeKit, and will not work with Wemo App and its services. If still under the store's return policy, we highly advise to get in touch with them and seek for a unit that works with your set up.
Q: Does this work on the wemo app. Alone or does it need a hub of some sort the control it?
A: Hi! It does not work with Wemo app. To use the Wemo WSP100, you will need to have an iOS or macOS device that supports Apple HomeKit along with an Apple Home Hub or Thread-compatible hub.
