My wife and I bought these to hook up our 52" Bravia with one of the nicer Sony sound systems. We use a lot of game systems (360, PS3, etc) and watch things in High Def when we can. We noticed our old analog system would often only play through the center speaker, but adding these cables improved the sound significantly. There is no need paying more for the Monster cables, these did the trick!

I hooked this up with my 42" and my Sony HT-SS2000 and it works fine. Now when my home theater is on my HDTV outputs the sound through my 5.1 home theater system. This cable works no problems, looks good, and the cable clip it comes with is a plus. Great sound is all I want and this cable gave it to me.

I switched from traditional A/V cables to this digital optical cable, and noticed no improvement in sound clarity or quality. I wasn't expecting a huge improvement, but some would have been nice. This is only worth it if digital optical is your only option or you are installing a theater-grade system in your house.
