    Multiple repairs then its broken

    I took this laptop to the shop SEVERAL times to get the same thing fixed to get the laptop connected to the internet almost the full two years i had the protection plan (off and on since I'm always working and it wasn't used a lot since its for an older woman (mother) who isn't a computer addict.0 Finally on the last trip to shop they decide to replace everything in it and when they know the warranty is about to expire. Now two months later the battery IS SHOT or something else now it doesn't come on at all. So i guess they warranted fixed useless parts or made it worse just to force me to get the warranty. However i was too broke at that time to extend it.

    This was a complete waste of money the sales associate Mis informed me of the coverage on the laptop, i happened to get into a bad car accident and my car caught on fire the laptop was completely destroyed and i showed proof to geek squad and they said they couldn’t help me... they told me no matter hat happens to the laptop I’m covered (screen breaks , spilled coffee on it, it snaps in half whatever happens i can get a replacement) now i go after the car accident and I’m told i can’t be helped because of the policy’s need the laptop ... it burned in the car what did i pay for the protection for ? And i financed the laptop on top of that

      Hello Justin – Under the Terms and Conditions of our Geek Squad Protection Plan, in a situation like that your laptop would not be covered. Please see www.geeksquad.com/terms for full details. That said, I do have some good news for you. You should be able to return the balance of you plan in one of our stores for a pro-rated refund. Your laptop may also be covered under your auto, homeowners, or renters insurance, so I would suggest reaching out to your insurer to check on that.

    Quick Quick Quick. On the spot fast, easy to understand even for those of us in our older years who are typically technically challenged. Walked me right through exactly what to do, what to look for, what I would see next. So easy and it was repaired perfect. Was back up and running smooth in lightening time. Always smile at name GEEK ...but kinda makes me think of a Hermit type person. Which is not the case in my experience...they were Energetic and Understanding. Taking as much time and effort to ensur my comfort level of instructions. They should be deemed Geniuses...but Apple kinda coined that Title.     Purpose: 24/7 access to expert computer technicians Equipment: Windows and Mac laptops Result: After subscribing 6 year ago, would not be without it. Online 24/7 access available. Or, in-store service option also available. I use both. On two separate occasions, my issue required more than 2 hours to resolve. The techs were patient, knowledgeable and professional. AND FIXED MY ISSUE!! Well worth the service fee.

    My Asus Q553UB 2-in-1 - 15.6" Touch computer has needed in store repair once and online repair 3 times. The problems with the computer "not responding" continue. I expected an Asus computer to function better than the used computers I've had in the past. I also expected Geek Squad to be better than what they have been.

      Hi Russ1 – I’m sorry that your computer continues to give you trouble even after multiple repair attempts. Since your Geek Squad Protect & Support Plus plan covers both hardware and software, I’d suggest going to www.geeksquad.com/schedule to set up a reservation to bring it back in to the store to get checked out again. I suggest bring in in any peripherals you have connected to it, like a mouse and keyboard, as sometimes they are the cause of the issue, and an attempted repair without them attached may not find the issue.
