Best album of the year for sure
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This eighth album of Green Day's is absolutely exceptional. I am a huge fan but I am not being biased. It takes all of the things that bands from the 70s and 80s were trying to do, that might not have quite worked, and uses them the way they were intended: love songs that sound like Air Supply, but better, power chords done just right without sounding like an 80s hair band, and just enough grandiose 70s classic rock to satisfy anyone's taste. This album encompasses all the greatest things that have ever existed in rock and roll but does it with a punk rock attitude and smirk, along with a genuine compassion for this country and a concern for it's future. It's a marvelous call to arms to the people in this country to ignore the distractions from the media and to do something to save this country, and the world, from our destructive behavior. I would recommend that everyone in this country buy this album and start taking a good look at themselves in the mirror and do something about what they see.
