Q: QuestionWhat happens when you forget it on?Does it have any timers or alarms, etc.?
Asked by Pickle.
- A:Answer There is a timer that you can set. You are able to set the timer anywhere from 0 to 3 hours, all in 10 minute increments. Once the timer reaches zero the cooker will shut off. Also, If you try to use this without cookware on the cooking surface it will not heat up and an alarm will sound. If cookware is not placed on the cooking surface within 10 seconds, it will return to standby mode. If the cookware is removed, a buzzer sounds and it will go into standby within 10 seconds if cookware is not placed back onto the unit.

Q: QuestionCan you set this stovetop to a specific temperature? For example, to use as a sous vide, or candying, or frying.
Asked by Djmalo.
- A:Answer This unit has a temperature range from 1-10 so if you wanted the lowest you could set it to 1 and it would keep your pan warm or sort of a simmer. It actually comes with an owners manual that gives the power level, watts and cooking level for each number. For example, setting the power level to the lowest number 1 uses 120 watts and the cooking level would be "simmer/keep warm. If you set it to 10 then it uses 1300 watts and the cooking level would be high/boiling.

Q: QuestionHi. Is it cool to the touch? Thx.Induction tops are supposed to be cool to the touch at all times.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Induction heaters will only heat compatible pots and pans, and will not transfer heat to non metal objects. But, If you have been using one of those pots or pans and remove it, the surface is still going to be hot to the touch.

Q: QuestionMinimum safe distance to keep metal away from the stoveUnder the tabletop, I see some metal strips. Will this be a problem? What is the minimum safe distance to keep metal away from the stove ?
Asked by Bill.
- A:Answer Using this induction cooker on your table top will be fine, regardless of the metal strips under the table. The cooker should have 4.7 inches of space on all sides. Do not put any metal on the cooking are unless you are wanting to heat it up, otherwise metal will be fine outside the 4.7 inches.

Q: QuestionIs this noisy? I have one unit (not the same brand) that has a pretty noisy fan that runs when it is on.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes the fan is noticeable but I don't seem to mind it as I am usually busy doing other kitchen tasks. In a way it sort of reminds me that I have something on the cook top and not to go off and leave it unattended. Before I got this induction top I was forgetful and the pan would boil over and make such a mess. I don't seem to do that now.
