Talk about a fancy baby swing. This thing looks like it belongs on the international space station or in an Apple store, one of the two! And my baby loves it, no doubt about it. The build quality on this guy is great, the cradle is solid metal, along with the arm. I feel very safe putting our child in it. The motor seems strong and doesn't make too loud of a noise when it's on. One of the cooler features to me about the build, is how easy the seat cover comes off. Two zippers and it's off. You don't have to tug or stretch anything, very good idea here. The mamaroo features 6 modes, all of which are noticeably different. I couldn't tell you if my baby noticed the difference but, I did and maybe your baby will like one over the other. There's also a variable speed setting 1-5 that will get this thing rocking pretty good but, still safely. You can also control everything through a Bluetooth app on your smart phone. Not sure how useful this really is since you're never going to be very far from the rocker when your baby is in it but, it's there if you need it and it works just like the big buttons do on the base of the mamaroo. The mamaroo also has built in speakers that play several built-in white noise type sounds and has an auxiliary input to play your music on the mamaroo. This is my only complaint about the mamaroo, the speaker sounds pretty bad. I get it that this is a baby swing and not a nice Bluetooth speaker but, this is an expensive baby swing. I don't really think I'd ever play music over this swing instead of using a real Bluetooth speaker. But, I don't think that's a deal breaker because, even without a speaker this is still a cool rocker. The mobile is pretty cool, my baby really likes the black and white side (it's reversible to a color side). The little plush balls do pop out pretty easy, which is good for when your baby wants to play with them but, could be easy to lose when moving it around. The mobile doesn't spin, which is also kind of lame but, baby still finds it interesting so, oh well. Overall, it's a cool fancy rocker, is it worth the premium price tag, I guess that kind of depends, are you looking for something a little better looking or with some different movement options, then maybe. But, it's always hard to tell what your baby will like.

Every single child is the same, right? Unfortunately not. Although my child specifically did not like the seat that is attached to the swing, that does not mean it will be the same for every child. The swing we had for our first child had nearly an identical rocking motion as this, and our son loved it. This time around not the same. Aside from my kid being picky, there are many neat features that are built within this swing. The top two items that i enjoyed are the rocking motion, and the compact size of the swing. Back and forth, up and down, S pattern, you name it, this swing can do it. My first born liked a slight up and down motion, this swing can do it. Out youngest enjoys a back and forth motion, this swing can do that too. Again, ever child is different, and this swing takes that into consideration. I think the motion alone is enough of an improvement to give most kids enough comfort to catch some much needed z's. Secondly, the shape and build of this swing is not typical. It is built from the ground up, opposed to a traditional swing that you;d see on a playground. This allows less clearance to be needed when moving it from room to room. This also is one less thing in the way for when my 2 year old is running full speed while staring at his feed to smash his head into. Its a well thought out design that is easy to maneuver with no sharp corners to bump any little one's heads. All in all, worth the price tag and able to provide a wide range of motions to assure comfort for the family's new arrival.

I have two young children and I'm a techy. But I even find myself amazed at all of the tech available and tailored for young children these days. While this "swing" isn't as techy as other devices (such as Bluetooth monitors or socks that measure vitals), it still packs some unnecessary frills that drive up the cost. First, the "swing" itself. I used to have a traditional Graco swing. It literally did one thing, swing back and forth. But it had a large footprint to make room for the swinging motion. One big advantage of this mamaroo is that it has a small footprint and takes up considerably less space than other, more traditional swings. Instead, it sort of "pushes" the chair up and down and slides back and forth. There are about 5 different settings ranging from car ride, to waves. I found that while the motion appeared to be smooth, it seems just slightly jerky in the movements at higher speeds. Additional features. What I like are the ambient sounds. You can connect your phone to play music or to change the motion settings, but I don't want another app on my phone that's completely unnecessary. And while you might want to play Baby Mozart for your baby through your phone, through the mamaroo speakers, that's too much effort for me. I prefer to stick with the ease of the ambient sound by pushing a button on the base. As for setup and ease of operation. It really can't get much easier. You slide the support frame bar through the base, lock it in with a tab (giving you the ability to slightly adjust the tilt/angle of the chair), and attach two other bars and then zip up the fabric for the chair and voila. NOTE: I like that the fabric zips on and off, it's easy to take off and clean. The buttons on it are pretty self explanatory. You push a button to cycle through the motion settings, the up and down arrows control the speed, and there's an up down button for volume. Really simple. Overall, this is a great motion swing. My kid loves it. I really appreciate the ease in which you put it together and how small its footprint is compared to other, more traditional swings. My only bit of caution and the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because I felt that it jerks too much at higher speeds. I only set it at speed 1 or 2 (out of 5).

This is really 4.5 stars. I've had this rocker for about a week and can safely say it's great. My 3 month old loves it, and that's about as good as it gets. If you buy it and find out your little one loves it, definitely worth it to keep. For starters, the thing is small, like really small. The profile can fit into a corner of a room, with no problems. One of the smallest seats you can find. Unpacking and setup is also a breeze, so no crimes there. The chair has 5 modes that mimic different motions, and all work pretty well, along with 5 speeds to pair with them. There are also 4 sound profiles to use, although all were sort of average on what they give you. There is an audio in MP3 jack to plug in your own tunes for the baby. The whole seat is controlled by an AC adapter, so that's also a plus (with the cord being decently long.) The seat is also adjustable to fit most infants/babies, and supports 25 lbs. The seat also features Bluetooth capability via a 4moms app, but this is where my one bigger con comes into play: in order to use any of the Bluetooth functionality, one has to create an account in the app. This is a small issue, but I find it sort of odd that it's necessary to do. Also, like I mentioned before, the sounds are pretty dull. Heartbeat never really helped sooth my child, and Ocean was the only one that really sounded good and calming. When the volume is turned up the speakers are pretty muffled, while the sound was distorted. Price is a little high, but just like any "in" baby item, you're paying for the brand, quality, and form factor here. Aside from those issues though (the sound isn't a huge one to me, as it works and not sure what I was expecting), the seat really is well-designed and executed, provided your baby likes it. Not all will, but I would recommend trying it out just to see. Bluetooth never lost connection, and controls are easy to use. Never encountered any issues with the playback or motion of the seat either. So all in all, a great little infant chair.

I’m a new great grandmother! What an interesting time with all the technology available. When I saw this item, I was fascinated. My strength isn’t what it once was and I feared that holding my great grandson for long periods might be a bit difficult now. The mamaroo arrived two days after the new baby. It was very simple to set up. We got it plugged in and downloaded the app. It synced right up to my iPhone. I love the sounds it plays, especially the “heartbeat.” The ability to use it to play lullaby’s via the built in speakers and a MP3 player is nice. The movements are clearly well thought out and very smooth. There are several different movements that mimic rocking, swaying and even car rides. All of these are easily set or changed via the app. The new great grand baby loved it. We put him in and set the heartbeat sound and swaying movement, he was asleep in seconds. Of course I DID hold him close to my heart for a little while before trying out the new mamaroo. It also synced to my sons iPhone easily as well. It seems a bit pricy for young parents to buy, but that’s why we greatgrands and grandparents ar good to keep around. This is being used for his nighttime naps as well. Guess folks don’t use bassinets anymore. I think this is a great addition for new parents.

4moms mamaRoo is one product that certainly made a long-lasting impressing to say the lease. Its something brand new and something you would have to try out to see if it's for you and your child. My child was happy with this product, sometimes you need your hands for other things and this uses natural motions that you rock your baby as a natural human would. There is also a rail on the back to adjust the seat to recline into a better sleeping position for newborn naps if need be. There are 5 movements first and foremost. Car ride: Rocks the baby in a car ride like motion going from side to side in a slow motion, Kangaroo: which goes from left to right gently, Upswing: which goes up in a "U" like motion, Rock-a-bye; which is just the last setting kangaroo just upside down, and wave; which goes in a circle like motion. All of these settings my baby enjoyed and smiled. One thing though the seat does get loud past a threshold for my model. not enough to disturb a baby but still. The seat also has Bluetooth so you can play music and control the rocking for your child is a big plus in my book. (also have AUX if you need it.) The app is time to use with not a lot of room to get lost; the settings are there what you need. The speakers get loud enough so they are decent for sound. There is also removable seat fabric but I have yet to test this but you can always buy more from 4moms to fit your child style or just need a new one. The seats are washable as well so no worries. I love the product it's not much but a BT baby seat but it works and would tell other friends with children to indeed look into this product. I wish more feathers was on this model but it does the job it needs to.

The mamaroo 4 is surprisingly lightweight compared to similar products from competitor but the unique humanlike movements is what makes it special and it stands out. The mamaroo comes in a compact box and is very easy to assemble. It takes around 15 minutes to go through the instructions and set it up. The seat is very plush and also reclines completely to adjust to any position. There are 3 toy balls that can be attached above to position over the babys head to entertain the baby. The balls are multicolored and each one is different, crinkle, rattle and mirror. The mamaroo 4 is bluetooth enabled and you can control motion and sound form a tablet or a phone. It also has soothing sounds built-in and also an option to plug in mp3 if needed. However the humanlike movements is no doubt the best feature and it simulates free swing, kangaroo hop, car ride, wave and rock-a-bye. This definitely keeps the baby comfortable and amused. After a week of use we found that the baby would fall asleep in about 10 minutes which would take mom around 30 on the lap otherwise. This is an excellent product and a must have for busy moms and dads.

      No average infant swing

We've owned infant swings in the past, and while all have been sufficient, none come close to this one. To start, it is incredibly easy to put together. From box to running was less than 10 minutes. The swing we handed down to my sister in law takes almost that long just to put on the cloth cover, much less assemble. The 4moms is also incredibly compact and can really be put anywhere. Easily a third the size of my previous swing and there's no danger of it hitting something (or someone) while operating as it needs no more clearance around it than the base takes up already. The plethora of movement options are a bonus as well, my old swing had side to side and forward and backward with 3 speeds, this one has 6 options for movement and 5 speeds. The motion itself is very smooth, even transitioning between motion types. The added bonus of nature sounds or the ability to plug in another audio source is great. Now to the all important discussion of price. It is more expensive than a standard infant swing, but the compactness of it will allow you to place it in locations a standard swing would never fit. So it really comes down to what works for you. Really this is the best infant swing money can buy.
