GREAT LED LIGHT BULBS FOR FRONT HOME ENTRY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wish I had bought these LED BULBS before. Noticed a few neighbors put them in their outside enclosed garage and front door entry light fixtures. So I decided to make the switch from old style light bulbs to these NEW LED ENERGY SAVINGS white light bulbs. Not only are they brighter, but they look nicer outside the home. The white light provides improved brightness for security and a clear lighted path for guests to enter home safely. Mu electric bill is lower too. Using my Best Buy Reward Points saved me even more money.

Great light bulb!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is absolutely no delay when the bulb is turned on. The light is instantly at it's maximum level, steady and pleasing to the eye. I could not ask for the light to be any more satisfactory. I assume the strange looking 'leaves' on the side of the glass are heat sinks because LEDs emit quite a bit of heat which must be removed to prevent damage to the bulb. Based on today's LED light bulb market, I was pleased with the price and expect to get years of service from the bulb.

Better than CFL, but pricey
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These bulbs, if you can get them on clearance, are a decent way to upgrade certain fixtures to LEDs. As anyone who has bought a TV recently knows, LED lights are superior but pricier than fluorescents, and that's true for these bulbs too. If you have a lamp where the bulb is revealed in the open, the odd frills might be less than ideal, but the same could be said for the pigtail CFL bulbs. With these, flicker or waiting for full brightness isn't as much of an issue, and the cost savings on electricity are as good or better.

Bright, good color LED
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to save energy, for a light that is left on a lot. LED lights are often dim, and frequently have an artificially white color that makes the light unpleasant. Not the case here!! This light is much brighter than I expected, and has the homey color you expect from a traditional light. It is a great general room light, and I've been finding it also makes a good reading light. Now if only the price would come down (and I'm sure it will), I'd be ecstatic!

love these led bulbs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good price, put them in my closets to reduce heat in there. Put them in my ceiling fans to reduce energy cost. I am using them to remove the CFL's that I have been using which have mercury in them. Also, I have found CFL's to be prone to breaking - so another reason to get rid of them. I would absolutely recommend LEDS to anyone - but wait for the sales.

Great bulb.. Worth the money!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm always looking for something new and to try new technology.. I was waiting in line and saw this item. I picked it up and it fills the room with great lighting and the bulb doesn't seem too get that hot!! I would recommend spending the money on these bulbs rather than the regular that constantly go out!! I want to see if it really last for 22 years lol

Pricey, but should be worth it if it lasts
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm slowly replacing the CFL light bulbs around the house with these LEDs. They are a bit expensive upfront, but if they should last 20 years or so (at least that's what I read). If it saves me from having to climb a ladder and risk my life changing the bulbs mounted high in the ceiling, I think it's worth it. The 60-Watt bulb seems brighter than the same CCFL. It's a soft-white, not the typical "bright white" typically associated with LEDs.

Q: QuestionCan I burn it base up? (downhanging fixture)I have a fixture where the bulb screws in base up and the bulb hangs down. Are these suitable for that?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer They are suitable for those kinds of fixtures. LED bulbs put out MUCH less heat than an incandescent bulb.

Q: QuestionCan this bulb be used in an enclosed fixture? Can this bulb be used in an enclosed fixture?
Asked by Nick.
- A:Answer Yes. It is approximately the same size as an incandescent bulb (same basic shape with some additional plastic), and does not get anywhere near as warm.

Q: QuestionWhat is the CRI of this bulb? What is the CRI of this bulb?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I'd say it is just a bit less 'orange' than an incandescent. Closer to 'sunlight' than the CFL bulbs.

Q: QuestionWhat dimmers is this lamp compatible with? The product claims to be dimmable, and the description says compatible with "leading" dimmers. Is there a list available? I have seen many of these LED lamps perform very poorly when connected to common dimmers.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I have checked the Lutron sight. I do not see this brand or bulb on the list. I have tried this bulb on a lutron dimmer vacancy sensor I have at the house. It does not work. The bulb has a hum, and flickers once the light is turned off. One nice thing the color of the bulb looks like a standard bulb-very nice.
