I bought this camera for a trip to Puerto Rico. I did not want to carry my larger DSLR, and I wanted something I could get wet without worry. It bugs me that there is no cap for the lens, but not a huge concern, as long as I don't put it in my pocket with coins and keys. The pictures I took mostly came out a bit dark and many lacked crisp clarity. Given the high pixel rating on this camera, I expected much clearer photos. I have to say that the anti-shake mechanism doesn't seem to really help much against shaking. Also, the panorama feature leaves a bit to be desired. If you set it to take a 270 deg photo, and you stop at, say 90 degrees, it gives an error and the photo is lost. You have to go set it to take a panorama closer to the degree you actually intend to take. My iPhone just takes whatever amount you feed it, up to 180 degrees. The high-speed video imaging is quite good. Taking video of golf swings was remarkable. On playback, however, there is a noticeable mechanical noise throughout. It is like the sound of a gear turning. Overall though, for the price, it does take decent photos, and I'm sure I can adjust the settings to get better photos (auto is not always the best). The battery lasted quite a long time (a couple hundred photos including panaramas) and photo reviewing (several days on a single charge). I did not test its "waterproof"ness, but it survived a sudden downpour in El Yunque forest :)

I used this camera primarily for a water camera during vacation and the pictures turned out great! So many memories would have been lost if I hadn't bought this camera. It doesn't have the greatest of a zoom but it is well worth buying. The video worked great on this camera and allows you to take snap shots while in video mode. The pictures turn out far greater than buying a cheap disposable camera. You will not regret this purchase!

Picked up this camera to throw in my fishing bag to use on fly fishing trips. So far, so good. Dunked it several times for underwater shots with no issues. Haven't taken a lot of pictures with it yet, but it is pretty cool to not have to worry about dropping my camera in the river.
