MetroPCS - LG Optimus M No-Contract Mobile Phone - Silver

This is my first smartphone and I love it. Android system is great! At the beginning I was experiencing a little bit of problems with it. Like random freezes/restarts and the MetroPCs apps were driving me crazy (i.e. one that sends you ads). So I did a little research and I found how to Root it. After that I could have get rid off the Metropcs apps, install apps that needed root access, like ES File Explorer to access my PC remotely through FTP/LAN, Titanium Backup, etc. Now this phone is free of randoms freezes/restarts and it's faster and useful than before! I could have even get the rid of the "MetroPCs, wireless for all. Hello, Hello, Hello..." awful sound of the beginning! It's true battery life isn't great. But that's depend on the way you use it. At the beginning when I was so excited about the phone and Android system, I used to use it A LOT! and the battery used to last like from 9am to 7pm. Now with all the modifications and that I know much more about the system and how to use it. It last the whole day (listening music while playing on my way work/home on the subway) leaving it charging overnight. So it's perfect now. The phone is 3G capable but you can't use it, I think because MetroPCs removed it to sell their 4G phones. So if you are not on a wireless connection, the internet speed is really slow. At least for me.. The phone is fast for the price! Get a task manager and whenever you feel it slow just go and close all/some programs to free up memory! Pictures are great too! Doesn't come with flash light but the auto focus feature make them very good! Overall I think is a great phone for the price!

This little Android is worth the price. Solidly built and ease of operation separates this LG phone from the rest. IF money is tight and you can't or don't want to deal with cell phone contracts then this is the phone you want. There is a wealth of free or nearly free apps that make this phone fun to own and easy to operate. Well worth the price.

Honestly, this phone's great. Works really well and is compatible with any app I've seen on the market. Swype function is a great way to type faster than a Qwerty keyboard, basically takes your qwerty keyboard and instead of typing each letter, you run your finger across all the letters in the word. Battery lasts quite a while if you turn off your data and wifi when you're not using them. I also have a power saving app installed and honestly I haven't charged my phone since sometime mid-day yesterday and my phone has been on since then, it's a bit past 10 PM now. It wasn't a complete charge either. The battery's still going strong too. Have I mentioned that I use it for MP3 player purposes for atleast 1-3 hours a day along with making lots of phone calls? There are quite a few fun games on the app market as well. A lot of them for free, many of them for under 10 dollars. Of course it's no PSP or DS, but the games run just as fast and are very responsive and fun. Just have to find the right one for you. Honestly, the only complaint I've heard has been about battery life with this phone and it almost stopped me from getting it. Glad I didn't listen. Great phone, just download a battery saving app from the market, the one I use is Juice Defender. You can also get spare batteries that have a greater charge than the stock one for only 15 bucks. I'm using a stock one with no issues. Just remember to turn off that wireless network when you're not using it. Settings > Wireless > Mobile Networks and uncheck the data when you're not using it.

This phone is one of the smaller Android phones on the market. I like the size of this phone as it's screen is big enough and clear enough for all that i need to do. it is big enough that i can use all three of my ereader apps that i have on the phone and clearly read the books.

ive had this phone for a year now because i cant afford a new one yet. The first day i got it, it started freezing , the first day ! yes i should of taken it back but i was broke after that! anyways. This phone is the worst phone ive ever had it force closes everything, you cant store basically anything because it's memory and storage is well you know,, it force closes when your on the phone,messaging,on the web,trying to turn on on your alarm basically during everything. And you never have wifi you have to be in an actual hotspot were you dont need a password,and even when you do have wifi it still is slow Basically if you wanna waist a good chunk of money on a piece a phone thats gonna get worse the longer you have it be my guest and get it.

Other then the battery running out kind of quickly, its a really good phone. I used to have the Huawei smart phone that Metro sells and this one is WAY better. It's also reasonably priced.

i've had this phone for about 4 months now. it's a great phone. fairly fast internet. ability to download over 200,000 apps through the infamous android market. nice widgets. android 2.2 is really good format. get a screen protector and case. up to 7 home screens!!

This phone is amazing, no doubt about it that its the best MetroPCS phone out and its fast and a great battery life. I LOVE IT :D
