Store up to 32GB of your favorite photos, videos and music on this SanDisk Ultra microSDHC memory card that offers Class 10 video recording capability and up to 30MB/sec. read speed for fast data transfer.
Q: What is the micro SDHC which is inserted into the scan disk actually for?
A: Most units you buy have built in memory for storing your data, pictures, music, etc. The built in memory usually is not large enough to hold everything you have, so in order to extent your storage, you have to buy external memory that slips into a slot on your device. That is what the 32G micro SDHC unit idoes, it extends your storage so you can hold more data, etc.
Q: ZTE n817 (legacy) phone manual only says micro sdhc, will this Ultra work in my phone?
A: I am knowledgeable of these cards and if your device says it needs a MICRO, that is the smaller physical sized memory card which this one is. This one also came with a bigger sleeve you can put this smaller one in. The larger sleeve fits into laptop card readers. Without the sleeve, you would have to connect your device to the laptop via USB cable... if your device has that option/cable. I have mine in a Dash Cam and do not like taking my laptop into my vehicle to download video I want to save on my laptop or remove the camera from my windshield. Its easier to pop the smaller card from my Dash Cam, put it in the larger sleeve, and then insert the sleeve into the card reader on my laptop to download video. Some older devices only take a 32GB card as the file format changes when you go larger. You also need to use the class (and size - GB) recommended in your manual. FYI - class 10 is the best with these older devices and are equal to class 1 with a U around the 1. There is yet a new standard of class these days. Class has to do with the speed in which the card can record in... not the size/amount of data it can hold. You don't want to spend a lot of money for a larger (GB) card and faster class (speed) and find it is not compatible with your device. This class information is easy to look up on the internet - Google know all. Hope this helps.
A: Yes, this card is already in FAT32 format, class 10. If you are running Win 7 or 10, you can manually select it to be formatted to FAT32 by navigating to THIS PC, right-clicking on the drive that the 32GB MicroSD card is present at, then select FORMAT. Under FILE FORMAT, choose FAT32 and the process should work.
