Adrian Noble's big screen adaptation of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.66:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. There are no subtitles, but the soundtrack is closed-captioned. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, but this Disney/Buena Vista release offers solid sound and picture quality and should be of interest for any aficionado of The Bard.
