It is a funny movie although....
|Posted .It is a funny movie although I wouldn't recommend it for the little ones. A bit too graphic. I love the silly type movies.

Harmless ? Fun for a belly laugh !
|Posted .Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.Another one a friend recommended to me ,Done with flavor of old West and a hot babe to boot . Great stuff you can easily watch more than once , like a second time with friends and watch their reactions and see if they get the funny bone in same place as you . Sort of a test to see how they really think and interpret comedy ! Parts remind me of back to the future and parts are like the Good the Bad and the Ugly, i can't explain it but if you look deep its there then turns crazy .

Very funny movie
|Posted .Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.I bought this because of Seth MacFarlane. His sense of humor is hilarious. This movie was way better than I expected from the previews I saw. It's got the funny parts, but its actually a really good movie as well. Definitely worth a watch.

Too many much foul language
|Posted .If you think that this is just another western movie take-off, think again. Anything with Seth MacFarlane will probably not be the run of the mill type entertainment. We purchased this Blu-ray version after watching a chopped up version (with commercials) on one of the too-many cable channels. The biggest difference between the version shown for broadcast and this one is the level of profanity that you'll hear from the actors. I'm sure there was a titter in the audience at the movie theater when this first aired, but the true comedy written into this picture is far stronger than the laughs a couple of curse words generate. No, it isn't believable, but it is thoroughly entertaining. If you're willing to put aside your bias regarding conventional western comedies, I think you'll really get a kick out of this one.

Funny, but pales in comparison to Blazing Saddles
|Posted .Seth MacFarlane's latest live action departure from the animation he's known so well for marks another hilarious turn. I laughed out loud throughout the film - a feat rarely achieved. The jokes are fast and funny, the cinematography is gorgeous. If the film has any weaknesses, the main would be that one cannot help but compare it to the epoch of comedic westerns, "Blazing Saddles." Such a comparison is unfair to "A Million Ways to Die in the West," but it is also unavoidable. The only other minor fault might be that at a certain point, it becomes a little jarring as to how modern MacFarlane's 'Albert' truly is in his sensibilities, when compared to the period-appropriate remainder of the cast. It's akin to the long running joke MacFarlane uses on Family Guy, where Peter falls and hurts is leg, and is seen holding and grimacing for an extended period of time. At first it's funny, then one thinks it's gone on a little too long. Suddenly, one realizes that the joke is how long they're staying on it and it's funny again. Then, it hangs on just a little too long, and the circle completes again. 'Albert's' modern sensibilities were the same - funny at first, then awkwardly jarring, then funny again, and finally just a bit too much. Nevertheless, I stand by my four-star review. I found it hilarious and can't wait to watch it again.
