This is my first laptop and I wanted something to just surf the web, shop, watch videos, and check accounts. This works perfectly. I didn't want something full of bloat that's always slow and full of programs I will never use. After a lot of research I chose a Chromebook. I wanted the Acer 15 because of the larger screen. It DOES come with a full HD 1080 screed even though the description says otherwise. It's very fast and I spent maybe a day or two just playing around with the settings. I probably would've been fine with the model featuring the Intel Celeron processor and 16GB drive. However I figured a little extra horsepower isn't a bad thing. If you want something that isn't complicated for web browsing you can't go wrong with this.

    Wanted to love, but couldn’t

This laptop was beautiful right out of the book. Started up quickly, etc. However, I quickly started to run into problems. One minor quibble is that the brightness resets itself every time I put the computer to sleep and turn it back on. I don’t enjoy being blinded when I startup my comp. A major issue I had is with using google docs/sheets/etc. When I would try to open a doc, it would tell me that my browser is not compatible. In other words, my google-made computer that is running google os to use google chrome is... not compatible with google docs? I expected for the laptop to not be compatible with anything outside google, but this borders on ridiculous. I will be returning.

After my last lap top messed up and died ( 2 years of use ) I took the recomendation to get a chrome book. Windows and other updates often slowed things down and was constantly changing things, I just needed something for simple browsing and used chrome anyway so it was a no brainer. It took a little time to get used to the slight keyboard changes and seems wierd not to have 5000 settings but so far so good, It is quick and simple like me, Hope it holds up better than my last lap top.

I grabbed this to have a personal laptop for work travel. It has virtually no startup time, the CPU is more than up to the task for any streaming and web browsing. The sync with my desktop and android phone all work perfectly. Bottom line is this is a great laptop for general purpose web browsing and light office work (Google Docs suite). My only minor quibble is it not having a second button on the touchpad, alt clicking is a little slow.

I am a huge Chromebook lover and this was my 3rd one. I love the fast start and easy navigation. The only thing I miss on a Chromebook is a cap lock. This also my 2nd one by Acer. The screen is so vivid and the speakers are loud enough for me. I just am not a windows 10 fan as to me it is hard to learn, Chromebooks have a no-nonsense easy learning curve.
