Acer - Aspire 23" Touch-Screen All-In-One Computer - 8GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive

My laptop of 3 years was dying and I needed a replacement computer. I no longer needed a laptop as I graduated from Graduate school and no longer need to haul a computer around. I liked the idea of an all in one- bigger screen, portable enough. So far so good, I can take it from room to room with ease. I collect records and my record collection is upstairs and I can carry it upstairs to work on my collection database but it would be better if it had an internal battery so I did not need to save and hibernate so often. I spent several months comparing models. I almost bought a Sony model but the store was out and later reviews of the Sony were not positive. So I finally jumped in with this model. So far, Windows 8 has been easier to use than I thought but I still have some trouble finding folders but that is not ACER's fault. I did upgrade memory upon purchase. The sound quality is excellent- much better than my laptop by far. I would recommend this computer.

I typically don't take the time to leave reviews but I read so many and relied so heavily on the advice of others that I felt obligated to come back and express my happiness with this unit. I looked at soooo many computers from soooo many different stores, online suppliers, big club discount vendors etc. but finally went in to Best Buy because they consistently had computers that offered the most features at the best price. I went in with the intention of buying a standard ATX tower computer with the latest i7 CPU in it and as much RAM as I could get my hands on but after looking at all of them I decided to go in a completely different direction when this unit caught my eye. I am not a real gamer and don't do any intense video editing so don't need anything ultra powerful but I also don't like wimpy machines. This unit has a third generation i5 and I could not be happier. It is a quad core CPU released in 1/2013 and it runs exceptionally well - I am not sure I could even come close to tapping the potential of a faster CPU so am happy that my money was reallocated to a touch screen and very friendly unit. It has a vibrant screen that reminds me of my iPad and iPhone and, contrary to many others, I absolutely love Windows 8 - take some time to get to know the system and you will too. Ignore all the reviews that downgrade a machine because it has Windows 8 - you can easily revert to your traditional desk top with the touch of a tile - but why would you want to?!? One of the best features about this machine is that it has only one cord....I can pick it up and move it to any room in my house as easily as changing my socks - plug it in and fire it up - try that with a traditional tower! This one also has the CD/DVD as well as a few other features like blue tooth, wireless LAN, 3.0 ports, card reader but best of all my daughter can walk up and touch one tile on the screen and it opens up directly to the page she needs it to for her Girl Scout Troop. Sounds silly but not to a five year old. It is a great deal and a great price - great addition to any family. When my computer crashed I decided I would go straight to Best Buy and purchased a new fast, large screen computer. I purchased the Acer all-in-one computer, because of the large screen, fast, windows 8, easy to navigate, nice looking computer. It was easy to set up, and with the built-in wireless networking was up and running quickly. I am happy with my purchase and would buy more for my work or for home. And the best part of this computer is the Touch Screen. Love It.

So far, the computer has met my expectations. Touch screen is great, Images are sharp. I was afraid I was going to break the stand as it was difficult to move. However, once adjusted it seemed fine. A little more instructions for the stand would have allayed fears of breaking it AND is it adjustable?? Windows 8 was new to me, but little problems there. Lots of RAM and power. The wireless found the network easily. The only cord is a power plug. Wow is that nice! Cordless keyboard, mouse, Since it is brand new (Christmas), I can't comment on longevity, but so far, no problems. If it remains reliable, great computer for the $$$$. Didn't give it 5 stars only because I haven't had enough experience with it.

This computer has so much going for it; I have yet to learn all it can do. I bought it for home use and to write reports for my job. I didn't think I needed a touch screen when I bought it, but I absolutely fell in love with this later. I used to think I couldn't get a good desktop home computer for less than $2000. I got this for less than $900. Wow! What a deal! I really love this machine. I thought the screen was actually too big! Don't think so anymore!

When I first saw this. Imputed in a store, I noticed how sleek it looked and the price. After I read some specs, the computer is actually very powerful for the price. We got 3 for our office and they are fantastic so far. The monitor can be at various levels, which is nice, too. I kind of want to get one for home now.

I love my computer thus far. I wasn't even shopping for a PC, but when I seen it, I instantly knew that I had to have it. I'm not used to Windows 8, so I'm still working on learning all of the new and cool features that have been implemented. It provides a lot of function though. My 2 year old daughter even loves to click on icons and watch Netflix on the PC. The screen is a great size and perfect for her to watch videos and things on. I love that I can also have a shared screen so that I can multi-task. Overall, I truly love the purchase that I made. It made the time that I spent on the phone at the store getting a credit limit increase worth the trouble. Overall, FANTASTIC purchase!

The screen size is big, but not huge. The set up was very easy. The kids love using the touchscreen over the mouse. A lot of times its much quicker to use the touchscreen. Windows 8 and the computer have a lot of the features that I'm still learning and getting used to. Its been five years since I bought a computer and this one is a giant leap above in ease of use and its features. My only complaint is a lot of the apps that are on the start screen that I don't need or use, so it took awhile to replace them with ones that I would use. I was also surprise that the only word program I could use was Word Pad. Microsoft Office 365 has a 30 day free trial, otherwise had to find free software to use other Word programs. Downloading stuff from the USB and the DVD drive was quick. No problems playing the kids games. The screen is nice to look at and the speakers are good. Overall, I'm glad I got this computer.
