Q: Can this laptop support games
A: This is a gaming laptop, so yes. While Acer does not test many gaming applications we would recommend you check that the computer meets the system requirements of the application/game to determine if it will work. You can also contact the software vendor to see if they can provide information on compatibility with their software. A: I bought this laptop for my daughter to do some minor photo editing with and she says it does really well as far as that goes. She is 16. I did notice that it came with only one stick of 8gb ddr4 memory. This might not affect the performance too much unless you are planning on using it for a lot of gaming or a lot of photo and video editing. I personally own three different gaming PCs, one with 8 gb memory, one with 12 gb of memory and one with 16 gb of memory. All three have two sticks of memory each but the 12gb pc out performs the 8gb pc and the 16gb pc out performs the 12gb pc. So in my opinion if you're goin to be doing some high end gaming or high end photo and video editing then no I don't think it's worth buying but if you're just looking to do some casual gaming on lower settings or some minor photo and video editing then I'd wait for it to go on sell. At least $150.00 off The graphics card can handle a few triple a games on high settings and I know this because one of my gaming PCs has an Nvidia gtx 1050 ti in it and I've edited a few videos with it also. If u do buy it and you do use it for either a lot of gaming or a lot photo or video editing you will have to upgrade to at least two sticks of ddr4 16gb memory to be happy with it. Memory prices are through the roof at the moment. It will cost you somewhere close to $150.00 to upgrade to two sticks of memory.
Q: when is the next time it will be avalable
A: undefined
Q: Is this laptop able to run the oculus rift?
A: No, the AN515-51 is not a VR ready laptop.
Q: Specs state 2 in 1 feature, but no touch screen and it also doesn't look like it is 2-in-1
A: That information is incorrect. This is a standard clam-shell designed laptop, not a 2 in 1 convertible type laptop. We apologize for any inconvenience.
