So far this computer is working great. The performance is really good and I get good fps on all games I have loaded on the system. The only issue I had was with the missing HDD kit. I contacted ACER Recertified and informed me that the kit wasn't included with refurbished units due to the warranty stating that "The warranty states that any modifications made to the unit will make it nullified." They told me to refer to the warranty paperwork provided with the unit (The paperwork was missing as well). It was not disclosed on the BestBuy product description that this was not a complete product. As far as I know, adding a hard drive to a computer is not considered a modification, it is an upgrade. This computer is upgradable. It defeats the purpose of its upgradability if we are being told that warranty is nullified if we proceed to do so. The bottom line is this: This is a great system for the money but Acer's position about their warranty being voided because of an upgrade seems to be inaccurate. I am rating here the product but I don't feel comfortable recommending it based on the warranty issue and the missing part.

Got this as a refurb and have been happy with it. Play games great and it has good battery life when not gaming. The screen is big and really nice. Would recommend.

This laptop was exactly what I needed; a cheap desktop alternative that could still handle some games. Being recertified it only holds a 90 day warranty, I didn't think much of this because I am an IT Director and have bought thousands of recertified computers and components and have never had an issue, until last night. Right in the middle of using it, it shut off and won't come back on, I'd had the laptop for 104 days at this point. So now I get to pay for costly repairs or just buy a new laptop.
