Screen came apart after two weeks
|Posted .Owned for 8 months when reviewed.Features
Quality1 out of 5Value1 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Bought this for my daughter for her remote learning at school. After a couple weeks the lower left hand corner of the screen came apart at the seams. This particular model folds from a laptop all the way into a tablet and that is when the problem occurred. It would have been better if it was just left in laptop form. Computer runs fine but the fact that the screen fell apart after 2 weeks is a testament to the quality of this Chromebook.

Nice machine if it fits your needs...
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I got this for my elderly mom who is... Well... Technology challenged to say the least. She has always used WIndows machines so I feared taking her off of that platform as the learning (TEACHING) curve could be HUGE. She finally forced my hand after somehow bricking 3 Windows devices in a year. I decided to go with Chromebook as it is an inherently "safer" eco-system and somewhat familiar to Windows users, especially those of limited technical capacity. So far, so good. I gave it 4 stars just based on it's somewhat limited horsepower. Please do not take that as a negative necessarily, but if you don't need a large horsepower machine, this is a great choice. My mom does e-mail, lite web-surfing and uses a solitaire and poker app. That's it. Perfect for her. Additionally, this unit is small, lightweight and versatile in how it can be used so another great choice for those who may not have all of the physical skills they had in their "fighting days".

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I was looking for small 2 in 1 chromebook with touch in budget. This is great. screen is good. Be aware that this model doesn't support Wacom pen, but you can buy a stylus for 10$ which can do same as Wacom pen. i bought digiroot pen now i am able to take draw notes on this chromebook.

Handy little laptop, great for anyone
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Price, School use, SpeedGot this for a great price, worth every penny. Using the Chrome browser/Chromebook system versus Windows is SO much better. Our Windows laptops keep on bugging us to update, update, update practically every.single.day and were full of bloatware that I had to painstakingly uninstall one by one, ugh! But the updates cannot be avoided, and many of them take FOREVER to install. No more! The Chromebooks are easy to use, fast, and any updates automatically install quickly with hardly any wait time, with NO constant notifications in our faces. A big plus is that our kids’ schools assign Chromebooks to their students, so our kids are already used to them and know how to use Google Docs, Gmail, etc. All of their online homework assignments and projects are done using Google software/apps. As for this particular Chromebook, it has a fabulously clear screen with good graphics. The touchscreen works really well. I like that it can be used in tablet mode, with the screen viewable at multiple angles and in multiple ways. You won’t need a mouse to use it, either, because the combination of the touchscreen and the touchpad is more than enough. Battery life is awesome. It is lightweight and compact, very portable. I am seriously thinking of buying a second one (at the sale price), it’s that good.

Q: QuestionWhat's the full name of this laptop? Laptops on Acer's website have a name like Chromebook Spin 11 - CP311-1H or another might be the C233 or C204. Without this kind of number, you can't look up how many years the computer will auto-update Chrome.
Asked by Carrie.
- A:Answer The model name is R751T-C4XP, and EOL on this Chromebook is June 2024.

Q: QuestionAre you able to install Microsoft Office on this Chromebook?
Asked by Stephanie.
- A:Answer You are able to install Microsoft Office 365 through the Google Play store, but at the moment, there is no ability to install the one-time payment versions such as Office 2012/2016/2019/etc. Alternatively, you can use Google's suite, consisting of the applications "Google Docs", "Google Sheets", and "Google Slides" to both create and edit files compatible with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Powerpoint. I have yet to personally have any compatibility or formatting issues transferring files between one another.

Q: QuestionDoes this accept headphones (HP)? I bought this in Dec and none of my HPs fit fully into the HP jack. It doesn’t play sound from the HPs if I insert my HPs into the jack either. it only plays sound through speaker or if I use a Bluetooth headphone.
Asked by HeadphoneIssue.
- A:Answer Our specifications show this Spin 11 Chromebook has a jack that connects to audio line-out devices and accepts input from external microphone (3.5 mm Standard TRRS / OMTP TRRS Type). If your headset fits this criteria but still will not work, please contact our support team at 866-695-2237 for assistance. This number is available 24/7 for in-warranty products.
