Great game soon fixed and better than ever
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis game is awesome. Thats the only way to put it. Not only does Guitar Hero make its first appearance on the Wii but it also brings the best, hard rockin' soundtrack ever to the Guitar Hero series. The Wii controls with the guitar are good and smooth, no lag between press and reaction. The guitar is better designed for longer arms and longer playing, letting you feel more comfortable while playing. The white Gibson Les Paul guitar looks beautiful with its glossy finish, that matches the sleek look of the Wii. The gameplay is great, while the graphics don't look as good as the 360 or PS3 they don't have to. The graphics look good, better than some Wii games. Activision has stated there is a problem with the Wii having mono sound where the box says Dolby Digital sound. I have just today, December 6, 2007, recieved an email from Activision stating that it is working with Nintendo to solve the problems. It will release new discs starting in 2008. And for people who would wait or those who have bought it, Activision says they will give free exchange for new discs with the problem solved. And besides the mono sound isn't bad, you'll only really notice it if you have an new TV or surround sound. But besides that problem this game is awesome. The inclusion of online multiplayer to the Wii, 360, and PS3 is greatly welcomed. While on the Wii there is no downloadable content yet it has also been stated that Activision will produce downloadable content for the Wii via the Wii shop channel ASAP. On the Wii you also have to deal with friend codes, which are somewhat complicated, but they are not impossible to figure out. Overall this game is a must have for the Wii, and it's nice not to pay the extra $10 next-gen tax, which you do for 360, and PS3. So without a doubt I definitely give this game a 5 out of 5.

Great game... better than the PS2 version?
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI ordered the Wii version online, but had to wait for it to arrive in the mail. So I purchased the PS2 version from the store and played it for two days before getting the Wii version. They are practically the same game (in terms of game play), but they do differ in the feel of the game and game play. Once I got the Wii version in the mail, I was sold. The PS2 was fun, but not as fun as the Wii (when I play solo). Perhaps it's just me, but the Wii guitar is a little smoother ("lower action") than the guitars that came with PS2 GH 1 and GH 2 bundles. The Wii guitar looks killer in all white. I love how the Wii guitar has the Wiimote inside and makes the missed notes sound. I LOVE playing wireless. AND it's amazing that you don't have to be standing facing the remote sensor in any particular way. Heck, I even turned and faced the wall away from the sensor, and it still picked up the signal from the Wii guitar. (Very cool.) The graphics on the Wii version also look crisper than the PS2 version (perhaps that's just me)... The only thing that the PS2 has over the Wii is that I have two guitars to play co-op and battle with right now. But there are no guitars sold for the Wii unless you guy the bundle. Hopefully that will change soon. So if I want to play someone, I have to play online... while my friends at home with me watch. Grrr. Not as fun. The Wii is great, and hopefully Nintendo will start selling additional guitar controllers soon so I don't have to keep going back and forth to the PS2 to play friends at home.

Great Game
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis game is looking pretty amazing, there's a ton of new songs from pretty much all genres. Looks to have some harder songs for the pros as well as some easier for new players. The multiplayer has been upgraded with a battle mode to keep things interesting as well as online play over Nintendo's WiFi service. There will also be downloadable content in the future. The graphics may not be as good as the PS3 or 360, but if you're buying this game for the graphics I think you're missing the point. It's a must buy for me.

Must Have!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is a must have game basically , for whatever system you have. i beat the game last night on hard, and it was pretty cool, it was a little more into the story than the second game. But now ive come to realize that the best part of playing GH2 was getting better, so the people that got good at that arent going to be as happy with number 3 because they will already be good at it. it would have been better had there been alot more better songs. id still recommend this game though, especially if you havent played any of them yet, because i think this would be a good one to start on. If you were really good at gh2 you probably know that with hammer ons and pull-offs you have to press the button at just the right time, however on gh3 once you have hit a button that has hammer-ons/pulloffs following, you can just hold the next button down, and when it gets to that note it will automatically play it. yes it is kinda cheap but if you want to be the best you can be you must practice every little technique. Im not sure about the graphics for gh3 on 360, but on wii, they arent too great, and what really bugs me about them is the singer, he looks very lame. I havent seen any of the faceplates for the wii version either but yes the faceplate is removable now so you can just detach it and put a new one on. also the neck of the guitar comes off so that you can travel with it easier. another cool feature is that the guitar is wireless, and the one for wii has an anolog stick on it so when you are at the wii main menu you can use it as the cursor. i heard rumors that you could have multiple star-powers, so you could save them up, which is not true in case you heard the same rumor. also in case you werent sure, there is online play for the wii, i havent played it though, but it is in the main menu for the game. i have played battle mode on career however, and it is pretty awesome. another cool feature that i noticed is that when you are playing a song, in the bottom left under your score, there is a meter that keeps track of your note streak, however, it doesnt come up until you have played twenty-five notes in a row, this feature, i really liked. that is all i can think of right now, and im sorry if i missed something that you were wondering about.

ROCK AND ROLL
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis game is so awesome! I am so glad I found it today at a store. The med level was a little harder than I expected which is a good thing. I have been playing easy mode mostly today and it is so much fun. For guitar one and two I am on med level. I am amazed at how the buttons dont lag with the wii wireless controler in the guitar. It is so fun because it has star power and new battle power. There also are boss levels. It has so many new features that are awesome. Just remember that you have to tilt the bottom part mostly because of where the wii remote is placed in the guitar when you try to activate star/battle power. It doesnt take long to get used to though. Also the new songs are great. I was getting sick of hearing the songs from one and two over and over. I totaly reommend this game if you have the wii. Oh and the graphics I think are really amazing too. But if you are getting this for graphics well that is just silly.

Welcome to the jungle!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendFinally, Guitar Hero comes to a Nintendo system! And it probably picked the best one, as the Wii really works well with this game. Thanks to the Wii Remote, the guitar peripheral is wireless and pretty clever - the remote just snaps inside the guitar in the back. Because of this, you can rock out up to 30 feet away. Also, the remote vibrates and makes noises itself whenever you play a wrong note. As for the game itself, it's pretty amazing. Probably the best song list for a GH game yet, it has classics like "Welcome to the Jungle," "Barracuda," and "Paint It Black," among many, many others. The game modes are your usual GH stuff, with the addition of online now, which works pretty well. I'm almost always able to find a random person to rock against, which is good because some of Nintendo's other recent online efforts have been subpar (looking at you, Smash Bros.). It's not perfect, though. The graphics are still terrible, and some of the song choices are just a little too obscure for my liking. Still though, if you're a rock fan and a Wii owner, there's no excuse for you not to own this game.

Get ready to rock! Wii style!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis game rocks! This is the first Guitar Hero game for the Wii, so this makes it a must have. If you haven't played a guitar hero game before, try it out and you will not be dissapointed. I was skeptical at first, never playing this game on any other system... and after I played it the first time, I fell in love with it. It gives us "less talented musicians" a chance to rock with the best of them. The song selection is good, although you may want to look up a code to unlock all songs as there are a few that you need to do a co-op carreer to unlock. Also, the graphics for the wii are not as good as other gaming systems (which is expected), but sometimes the movements seem very robotic and PS2 like. None of this overshadows the game or gameplay, however... because when you are rocking out, you are the star, not the characters on the screen! Overall, excellent game and deserves to be in everybody's collection.

Really Fun Game!!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is a truly great game for anyone! I play the real guitar, so I have a slight advantage, hehe. But this game is really great. If you don't know what this is about, you are a guitarist for a band (you get to name your band) and you have to play songs for the great fans by holding down colored buttons simultaniously as the neck of a guitar rolls down the screen. When the gems on the screen reach the end, you have to use the strum bar while holding down the colored buttons to make the sound. If you miss a few notes, The guitar part of the song will stop playing (which is cool) until you get back in the game. There is also such thing as Star Power, where you tilt the guitar up and it gives you double the amount of points. If you aren't rocking hard enough, the crowd will start booing you off and you will have to try the song over again. Again, this game is a great gift for kids of all ages, and takes practice. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be rocking so hard that the Pros cannot even beat you at their own songs!
