Awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Airplane is one of the best American comedies. It is time when the most vocal people are politically correct, this movie is a breath of fresh air because there is nothing politically correct about this movie, and it results in outrages laughs. This movie is a spoof of the disaster movies of the 60s and 70s; even if one is not familiar with that genre's formula, the movie still contains numerous laughs. The movie looks and sound great on Blu-ray. The Special Features are not memorable but I did not buy this movie for the Special Features.

Hilarious Movie for Saturday night fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this movie because it features many really funny scenes and jokes. My favorite parts are when the young girl states that she likes her coffee black and when the airport tower manager states that he picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue. This movie would be rated PG-13 by today's standards, so it may not be suitable for children under 13. There is some brief nudity and probably a half dozen adult-themed references. The group that will get the most out of this will be those aged 30-50, who grew up with the Airport disaster movies and like good sarcasm.

File under "Movies You Can't Make Today"
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An absolute classic released in a steelbook! As I've always thought, steelbooks should stand out from the regular releases. While the artwork presented on this release is nothing too spectacular, it's perfectly appropriate with its minimal, un-busy presentation that lets the film speak for itself. This release in steelbook has all the solid desires; steel spine, strong spindles, great look and feel.

A satirical classic in High-Def
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Considered as a satire of Airport '77 and a few other films, this became considered one of the best parodies ever made. With a great cast and some terrific amount of jokes an puns, it's no wonder why fans and critics declare this as one of the funniest parodies. Blu-ray: expecting a crystal-clear quality from this release? Not gonna happen. What it shows though is the best that the studio can remaster, and close to the source material. Extras are a bit sparse, but don't buy it for the extras or any other fancy stuff: buy it for the film! Highly recommended.

Classic comedy!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Airplane! is one of the great comedies of all time. This 40th Anniversary edition has a really good transfer, and some good new special features. I am not a fan of SteelBooks, but this is worth buying for the reasons above. However, you should keep the previous Bluray because the special features from the old one didn't get carried over.
