    Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem
Visual effects specialists Greg and Colin Strause both make their feature directorial debut with this no-holds-barred monster mash that attempts to set itself apart from the 2004 Paul W.S. Anderson original by serving as a straight-up sci-fi horror scarefest. The aliens (and a predator) have landed on planet Earth, and small-town America is about to become the scene of an epic interstellar showdown. As these two breeds of cosmic killers clash in the small-town streets Gunnison, CO, the locals are sent running for their lives. From the murky sewers to the rain-soaked streets, Gunnison has become a total bloodbath. Nowhere is safe, especially from the unstoppable new hybrid known as the "predalien." Now, as the once-quiet community of Gunnison is overrun by Aliens, the only hope for humankind is a fierce hunter from the deepest reaches of space. But this predator is far from a benevolent savior of the human race, because he'll kill any man, woman, or child who gets in the way of his mission to destroy every last alien under these stormy Colorado skies. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

      dont even bother

uhhh...... my cousin said tha action was good but the story sucked. and a friend told me the whole movie was awsome another relative said the acting sucked but everything else was good. so being a fan of both alien and predator, i go out and by avp2. first of all, if you make a lot of money from the original avp, dont get 2 directors that have never directed a movie before to continue a movie with iconic characters. the movie starts on the ship at the end of the first one with a pretty desent openning fight sequence but after that the movie just goes downhill. the setting is in a little town that nobody cares about or even heard of. the acting is awful. the only ok performances are out of the marine lady and the cop. all the fights are scattered and a mess cuz you dont know whats going on half the time. the the scene when the aliens kill the homeless people made no since and was completely unneccesary. the constrution site fight scene was ok i guess, but no more than that. and what was the point in the predalien. it wasnt that big at all. you barely see it. its just as menacing as any of the other aliens. and they completely changed the look of the aliens head. yea sure, minor changes are fine but not like this. there is basicly no story. if there is, then its the aliens killng people and the predator killing the aliens. and the scene when the predator was leaving his home planet was very phony. avp2 is just another stupid dead teenager movie and no more. its predictable and short. now dont get me wrong, ilike the first alot. but this one just doesnt own up at any level.

      Worst movie of the year...

This is quite possible one of the worst movies ever made. Now, I'm a pretty big fan of the Alien film franchise and to a lesser extent, Predator as well. I thought the first AVP film was a letdown, with a few highlights here and there. Going into this knowing it was rated a hard R, I was hoping for more. Well I got more, none of it good. The problem with the film first off, it disregards its own rules. For example; It sets up the fact that the Aliens (like in other movies) have acid for blood. Yet the filmmakers pick and choose moments, where convienient for it to actually burn. Inexplicably, tons of Aliens show up through the course of there being only 3 eggs. Towards the end, that gets explained, but is so stupid, it adds insult to injury. There are more things in the movie that just don't add up, hey, I have suspension of disbelief, but when you set up rules in your own movie-FOLLOW THEM. The film plays out more like a greatest hits movie, or better yet, a cover/tribute album, where the filmmaker's take all the cool sequences from earlier movies and then shoehorn them into fitting into this one. While the effects are cool, and the gore is well done and aplenty, you feel nothing for the title creatures or the 45+ characters they introduce in the first 20 minutes. Quite simply it is a huge waste of time and money, and worst of all, it's boring.

      Great Action Shallow Plot

I personally liked this movie, being a die hard alien and predator fan. I think this was a much better movie than Aliens vs Predator 1. The first one was boring, and used too many slow motion effects. So first off the plot is pretty simple, the predator from the first dies and has a alien come out of him and it kills all the predators on board their ship and they crash in colorado. The face huggers escape and implant some hunters, and then aliens try taking over the town. Thats pretty much it for the plot, a lone predator comes to stop the aliens and thats it. The humans plot is a joke. They are there for nothing then cannon fodder. Action wise this movie was awesome, the predator fights the aliens and uses it's technology to kick some butt. It is what ever person wants to see. Good movie worth the 20 bucks.

      Ok Sci-Fi Flick

Time for round two people, it was inevitable... and now, it's happened. On one side we have the beloved Alien, on the other we have the Predalien... wait... what?! a predalien? yes, thats right, a cross between a Predator and an alien. Throw in a small town nobody has ever heard or even cares about with a small population and you have the makings for another great B-movie. Cinematic musts like Plot, Dialogue, Acting and... well, Directing took a back seat to make room for some pretty cool effects. Which, in turn, carry the story through until the ending, all of this makes a b-movie in parallel to the first. If you enjoyed the first AVP, you will love this continuation of the series.

Big Alien/Predator fan here. This review might be a little biased but I enjoyed all Alien and Predator movies, including this one. The story might have been weak but it had its moments and it always comes down to the fighting scense between the Alien vs. the Predator (you know you always wonder who's going to win lol). People just happened to be at the wrong place and at the wrong time and stupid and they just happened to be thrown into these guys battlefield, and when that happens, you better get out of the way or be killed. Guilty pleasure movie. Will recommend to an Alien or Predator fan.

      Best AVP so far

I really enjoyed this movie. It is 10 times better than the first AVP. It still suffers a little from some confusing casting (the sheriff uses a little too much hair product!), but the acting is solid. The Aliens look great as real costumes were used instead of a ton of CGI. The Predalien went from cheesy in the last film, to a great monster that really makes the movie. I hop they do a third film! Also, the extras are perfect. Not too long and not too technical. My only con is that is seems a little dark, but it might be my TV. Also, during fight scenes its a little hard to follow the action.

in the words of charles barckley "this movie was trrbl".. this movie had the worst plot ive seen in a long time. you barly saw the aliens in the movie and when you did it was only in extreme dark and never got a good look at them. the idea of the movie was just awful.. my friend said it was great and to get it and i thought it would have great special effects for blu-ray but i was wrong.. this will soon be found in the 5 dollar bin at your local car wash...

      Excellent purchase

This movie was dark and hard to follow in the movie theatres, but on blu-Ray it is a lot brighter and you really can see what the directors were trying to do. This movie was non-stop action and had much more gore then the first movie, much better done. The predalien really played an active role, This movie sets the stage for AVP 3 and that one should be even better then the second. I would definatly recommend you go out and buy this movie on Blu-Ray it is worth it!
