I have had the Alienware Alpha for over two weeks now and ti does what it says. I bought for the kids who wanted a computer and a console. This killed two birds with one stone. The games on steam (with the exceptions of new releases) tend to be cheaper than retail (and they have great sales). The reason I did not spend the extra hundred go from the i5 to the the i7 is that you are going to want to upgrade to an ssd drive, the alpha has a 5400 rpm drive in it. That is another the alpha is great everything is upgradeable minus the gpu. Those are the two reason it didnt get 5 stars, you cant upgrade the gpu and the slow hard drive.
