I wanted a computer for some very involved excel spreadsheets and video streaming and decided on a gaming computer. I first looked at an HP envy but after more looking around decided on this one for the upgradeability. Then I looked for awhile more to get the best price and after a few tries online with Best Buy, got it there for a really good price, though it took some doing ("sale" prices change on a daily basis). I've found that it fills my computing needs and with the 6800 mobo and GTX 1080 (not the ti) the video streaming (youtube, netflix, hbo go, etc.) is great. Would likely have to upgrade to 1080 ti (maybe two), 6950 mobo, & get an SSD to really game your a** off, but can be done with this rig. Also like the DVD/CD RW drive for older apps, movies, music, etc. I have sitting around.

Great Alienware Area 51 PC. Very quiet runs cool and fast. I got it on sale it would have cost me more if I would have tried to piece it together my self.

Great for gaming and it still has room for upgrades. Sure you can build a replica for much cheaper, but it won't the an original....
