I've had this desktop now for a month or so, and I have to say so far so good. It runs extremely fast with the 8th gen i7 processor, plenty of hard drive storage with the 256GB SSD and 1TB mechanical. Would say it's good for gaming and work, extremely fast and can handle any task thrown at it.

Overall, this is a great pc. The graphics and processing will keep me going for years. When installing things you have to make sure it's putting things in the secondary standard hard drive, because it will default to the small ssd meant for the os, and when some games can be 40 gb or more, that will fill up the remaining space fast. Now to the important warning. Killer Wireless. It does not like routers. They've fixed the issue with a lot of routers apparently but there are 5 that it hates with extreme prejudice. if you buy a pc with killer and own one of these 5 routers. plan on having to buy a new router for your pc, because as soon as you try to download anything big it will repeatedly crash the router on you so that you have to manually reset it, and I mean in under 5 minutes. NETGEAR WNDR5400 V3 TP-LINK TL-WR841N V11 (I had this one) TP-LINK ARCHER C7 AC1750 V2/V3 TP-LINK ARCHER D7 V1 TP-LINK MR6400 V1 I tried all the fixes the killer website offered and nothing would solve this problem. a cheap router will fix the problem though. I bought a $35 netgear dual band router that wasn't one of those 5, and it works perfectly. this pc can even recognize and use the higher band of wireless that the router put out, none of my other electronics could, including my previous gateway. Other then that single issue with the wireless card and needing to remember to set the install location, this beauty is perfect in my eyes. I've seen people call this a starter pc. a starter pc is 300-600, unless you're rich. You don't need a $3k pc unless you're a professional gamer running in tournaments. this works great looks great, you can even customize the lights on the outside. boots instantly and I expect to be able to use it for at least the next 6-10 years. This is a good investment, just remember to check your router if you buy ANY pc with killer wireless, dell uses it in a lot of their pcs not just alienware.

Had some issues at the beginning. Microsoft One Drive and the Killer Wireless card made me work to get to the sweet spot with this PC, but now that I am here it runs beautifully. I had to disable One Drive or everything would download to it, regardless of where I set the destination. The Killer Wireless card did not like my router, so I had to buy a new one. The graphics are worth the trouble though. Runs every game on high with amazing color and resolution. First time with an SSD, never going without one again, this PC boots so fast. I am definitely not an expert. Just know enough to be dangerous. If not for the issues at the beginning I would give it five stars.
