Enjoyed it, thought it would be different...
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This was a wonderful movie, I was expecting something a little different though. It’s more of a love story than a spy movie. Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard did an outstanding job, and this was a beautiful story. Picture quality was fantastic the cinematography was well done.

a surprise & disruptive ending
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendTwo spies find love in Casablanca, Morocco in 1942. Max Vatan (Brad Pitt) and mysterious and beautiful Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard) unite to assassinate the German ambassador in Morocco. Their "fake" marriage inspires love and romance. Pitt and Coltillard have a strong chemistry in ALLIED. Both have never looked better. Pitt as the quiet man knowing that wartime romances between spies have no future. ALLIED is a beautifully filmed period piece that takes back to wartime Morocco and England. One amazing scene has Max and Marianne finally giving into their passions in a car during a desert sandstorm. It's filmed in an amazing way. Max and Marianne settle into domestic bliss in London as Max works in the war offices. Real heart wrenching drama begins when Max is told Marianne is suspected of being a spy (a spy for the Germans). In the world of spy romances, the betrayed lover is required to kill his guilty partner. Max has hours to prove she is innocent and the agonizing journey begins. ALLIED is certain a pleasant film and better than I expected. The chemistry between our stars adds to the excitement as we hope their love is real and will survive the war. It's a beautiful film to look at with the authentic period clothes and setting. The last act is full of suspense and mystery and Marianne's story unravels. Pitt and Cotillard light up the screen.

Allied
|Posted .Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.Definitely worth watching. I am a fan of WWII movies. This one is a little different but interesting and a surprise ending. Brad Pitt and the female lead are very good.

One of Brad Pitts best movies
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendSet during World War II, this movie has a lot of intrigue and suspense. Marion Cotillard plays Marianne, a French resistance fighter who falls in love with Pitt who plays a Canadian officer and spy. Together they work to eliminate the enemy, but the story goes much deeper. Find out what happens with war time romances and the sacrifices we make for love. Very family friendly but with good deal of violence, not reccommended for very young children

Zemeckis does it again
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThe trailers werent great, the reviews were moderate, but again Zemeckis overachieves even when he's already proven himself to be one of the most consistent director for years now. What makes this movie uniquely interesting is just the moral confusion of Brad Pitt's character. We, like him, honestly dont know really what we would do in this situation (wont spoil what the situation is). It's simple yet complex. Easy to follow when in lesser hands the film could have been very confusing. Come to think its VERY Hitchockian actually. Great films.
