So far, it meets the purpose. We have to have phone directly plugged into car for CarPlay to work, but we usually have it plugged in to charge anyway. Bluetooth works nice - does not have to be plugged in to answer incoming call. Love that texts can be read to me while driving, just as I can ask to call someone without picking up the phone. The negative - on a few occasions we have completely lost signal AND with my iphone 7s, the apple car play map does not know where I am (i.e. in the field instead of the hwy). Husband's iphone SE hasn't had any problems like my older phone. The good is we can still use the GPS maps built-in if we are in the middle of the woods with no signal. Be sure to program your "home" or destinations BEFORE you lose signal. The built-in GPS will save you, but Apple Car Play will NOT (no signal, no maps).

Excellent product. I wanted to replace my original stereo with a Android compatible unit. Such a huge improvement in quality and performance.
