I have a car stereo without Bluetooth, and sans an aux input. So, in order to use the massive playlist on my phone, I needed an alternative (usually a bulky external speaker sitting in the passenger seat). I received an e-mail from Best Buy which featured these Aluratek DYNAMITE speakers. Frankly, I didn't expect much, and knew I could return them. When I picked them up at the store (available on-line only), the customer service rep was as curious as I was about how they would perform. I brought them home, charged them fully, and took them for a ride. Now, if you are expecting DTS/Dolby-quality sound, you won't get it from these speakers--they are only the size of two, stacked plastic soda bottle caps. What you do get from these diminutive monsters will shock you. These little puppies put out some SOUND! They are loud enough that even at highway speeds (with windows up, of course) I have to dial back the audio level. They are not supposed to have stereo separation, but if your phone does that for you, I think these speakers will accommodate stereo. I grabbed a piece of metal to slide under my hands-free device, to allow the speakers to hang from my visor (see pics) via the magnetic bottom. This is not ideal, since the magnetism isn't all that strong, but gets me by. Due to the petite dimensions of these speakers, you give up some convenience: there is no volume control--you have to use your phone volume, and you must power them on, one at a time, by pushing the bottom of the speaker--so using Velcro to fasten them to a surface is out. Additionally, Bluetooth connection isn't always very fast, say, ten to fifteen seconds, and there is no aux line in available. My only other concern is battery life, which could be greatly reduced by turning the speakers on and off frequently, and by higher volume settings used on your phone. That said, these tiny Aluratek DYNAMITE speakers ARE dynamite. The won't fill a room with window-shattering sound, but in close quarters, they are plenty loud (louder than my counter-top speaker, and just as loud as my Jammy Pack) for a small bedroom, or to use in a car for those of us without an aux in or Bluetooth on our stereo. If I can, I will update regarding batter life. Kudos to Aluratek for delivering what they promise.

As JJ used to say “Dynamite” ! These small speakers will blow you away. I didn’t expect much but the sound was awesome for the size of the speaker (and there are two). Get these you won’t be disappointed.
